Story

THE DUCK HOUSE is an outrageous new laugh out loud comedy set in a world of dodgy receipts, dodgier deceit, and pure Parliamentary panic.

May 2009. Gordon Brown's Government is in meltdown and a General Election is just one year away. Labour backbencher Robert Houston loves being an MP and will do anything to save his seat - including change sides. All is going well with his switch from red to blue until, on the eve of his final interview with Sir Norman Cavendish, a Tory grandee, the Expenses Scandal breaks.

As public fury mounts over taxpayers' millions being frittered away on second homes, hanging baskets, moat-cleaning and duck houses, Robert and his secretarial staff (aka wife Felicity, student son Seb and Russian housekeeper Ludmilla) find themselves in big, big trouble. And how did the EU bring together Seb's gorgeous girlfriend Holly and Sir Norman?

Ben Miller (BBC1's Death in Paradise and The Armstrong and Miller Show) as the MP who's got it all - and has claimed for most of it - leads an all-star West End cast of Nancy Carroll, Debbie Chazen, James Musgrave, Simon Shepherd and Diana Vickers. Tony & Olivier award winning Terry Johnson (Hysteria, End of the Rainbow) directs this hilarious satire from two writers who've been making fun of politicians for decades: Dan Patterson (BBC2's Mock the Week) and Colin Swash (BBC1's Have I Got News For You and Private Eye).

We went to watch Six and it was awesome and spectacular. Unfortunately, the toilet situation was not good for anybody. Lines on the womens was long on both the stalls floor and above. There was only one men's toilet all urinals on the floor above. The Vaudeville theatre is much smaller than others, so bear this in mind.
I saw SIX here, twice. The first time in 2022. Came back in Oct 2024. This time I had a problem with my email to check-in for the performance. The staff was kind and helpful, everything was sorted super fast and I was able to enjoy the show. All the actresses were incredible, we were moved . The bar service was very nice as well. 5/5 for me, can’t wait to go back!
What a genuinely warm and welcoming front of house team! We attended with a disabled party member who was assisted in a respectful way with a cheerful disposition by everyone we met. The performance of SIX was amazing, huge energy and incredible production all round.
I went to see "Six" here yesterday : I was sat in the stalls and the seats were very comfortable all with a great view of the stage. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The performance was excellent as well.
This is a great setting to see a show. The theatre is fairly small but that means you are close to the stage no matter what seat you have. They had a great bar and a good selection of snacks.
Came here yesterday to watch SiX the musical. I cried at first, because I'd never think to find myself at the musical. It was always just a dream to me, if I'm honest. We ended up getting the very back row seats in the Grand Circle, while it was pretty disrupted because the people infront of us only leant forward instead of just sitting back like normal, I don't blame the theatre for that. Hence 5 stars.
The Vaudeville Theatre in London is truly a hidden gem in the heart the West End. With its intimate atmosphere and cozy seating arrangement, there truly are no bad seats in the house. The theater may be smaller in size compared to others in the area, but it more than makes up for it with its and character. The Vaudeville Theatre showcases a variety of productions, from classic plays to innovative new works, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. The talented performers and top-notch production values make every visit to this theatre a memorable and captivating experience. The staff at The Vaudeville Theatre are friendly and professional, adding to the overall enjoyment of your visit. The location is also convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby for a pre or post-show meal. Overall, The Vaudeville Theatre is a must-visit for theatre enthusiasts looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in London's vibrant theatre scene.
Lovely small theatre makes show more personal. Front row of balcony were great seats, would recommend
Saw Six the Musical here back in September 2023! Absolutely loved the show, the theatre is not too big but really nice. The staff was super nice as well and they helped me with a problem I had with my ticket at the box office a few hours before the show. Would definitely come back someday. However I did see Six twice again since then on Tour in Germany, because I loved it at the Vaudeville!
We came as a group to watch Six. I was the one person in the party who wasn’t thrilled with the plan, but I’m a team player, so I came along. I have to say, Six was better than expected and a fun time. The music was great, and the singing was phenomenal.
