Exceptional service from all the team at Upton Surgery. Everyone I know agrees that we are lucky to have such a good GP surgery in our town. All the staff we have met are caring and responsive, really taking the time to listen and support us. Other services offered like a wellbeing coach also make a positive contribution. Most importantly, despite how busy they are, constantly under pressure, the staff are kind and treat you like a person not a problem.nnOn moving here, I really appreciated the ring back system, where you do not have to stay on the phone in a queue but instead the system remembers your number and calls you back when it is your turn.nI was concerned when they changed to online booking recently but my fears proved groundless. It is easy to fill in the form, less stressful than ringing, and far from being a bad thing, seems to have improved speed and efficiency - I guess it takes less time for them to read multiple messages.nInstead of ringing, waiting to get through speaking to triage staff, waiting for GP to call back, now you simply fill in the online form and the GP calls you back. We have used it twice and they phoned quickly that same morning.nHowever they did make clear that people who cannot access the online form can still ring.nnThank you to Upton surgery staff - we appreciate what you do for us.
Moved into the area recently and the GP surgery has been absolutely amazing.nnI struggle with a few thing medically and they were able to get my records with no issues. The staff are always courteous and kind and the doctors are helpful and caring and NEVER condescending like some doctors can be.nnYou can ensure that they are there to help from day 1. I have lived in numerous towns and cities but Upton Surgery is the best GP practice that me and my girlfriend have ever been to and I feel lucky that we are!
I'm amazed at all the bad reviews as since we moved here 6 yrs ago we've always had nothing but praise for them. I've been poorly since last week and we completed the on line form early on Monday morning. The Dr rang me within the hour, arranged to come to see me at lunchtime, and had a nurse come out in-between to take blood test. After the visit an X-ray was arranged for the next day and I had bloodtest results by the late afternoon.nI've had to further contact them after the X-ray, and again spoke to the Dr almost immediately and today was referred for MRI. I can't praise them enough!!!!
Sadly, the Upton upon Severn surgery, which has been truly excellent up to now apart from the in-house pharmacy, has moved to what appears to be an NHS sponsored scheme, where appointments are no longer made via the phone but now through completing an emailed form. There is no doubt that this will be a retrograde step and clearly a deliberate obstacle to accessibility. It's a great shame that this well-run surgery has taken the decision to join the many other inferior practices in the locality. One can easily imagine that some susceptible patients will feel pressurised into completing or at least reading the on-line form rather than phoning in the first instance. Time can very often be of the essence in treatment. As a result this system could well result in a critical delay which seriously adversely affects a patient.nnAll credit to Upton Surgery who responded very quickly to the review. Quite ironic though that they wish to discuss on the 'phone rather than by email.
Just been for a smear which I was dreading and I can honestly say I've never had one before that wasn't uncomfortable, until today! This was due to the excellent care and attention given by the nurse. I absolutely love the nurses and doctors at Upton - in particular the two Gails doctor and nurse. I've always felt like I've been treated like an individual, rather than just a number. They're so attentive, thorough,nand make you feel very reassured. Thank Upton Surgery, you really a fabulous bunch.
