This used to be the best practice inWorcester. I have just spent 39 minutes on hold even though I was “ first in the queue ! “ Can’t get appointments to see a Doctor, told to ring at 8.30 the next morning, tried and was 37 th in the queue. Of course no appointments left. I’m so sorry this practice has gone so badly. What on Earth has happened to this once brilliant practice??
Booked an appointment online, waited hours for a tel call. When the Dr finally called, 2 hours later than planned, I was momentarily away from phone. There's no second chance in this lottery sadly. Tried calling their office, and on hold for an hour, listening to that dreadful muzak,losing will to live. Is this a basic service, or a game. Compared to other countries, where one can walk in and see a GP within minutes, the UK is a mess. And it's getting worse. The Drs here are polite, helpful and always attentive. But the systems and structures and poor comms make it a very unpleasant and wasteful experience to access primary care.
Totally unfair of other reviewers to rate this GP practice negatively for wider problems caused in the NHS by poor governance. Recently moved my family to Albany House after moving to Worcester. Long-standing issues affecting four of my children which were, for years, treated with disinterest and excuse-making by the previous GP surgery in Bromsgrove. Albany House has been a breath of fresh air: the GPs listen, they are proactive, and we finally have a plan of action for each of the children to deal with or investigate their health issues. Yes, it can be difficult to get an appointment on some occasions but usually I have no problem. Yes, the queues for the phones are long sometimes. But I suggest that patients who are here griping and moaning try other surgeries because, from experience, you could do far far worse.
Had a voicemail left on my phone from a Dr Swallow asking me to call her back to clarify what it was I was requesting. I havnt been in touch with the GP lately, they called the wrong person back!!!. Oh dear this doesn't fill you with confidence does it.
Requested repeat prescription, and for the second time in 2 months they have missed 50% of the order off. Been on hold now for 50+ minutes at called No 7 and I'm trying to get the missing meds sorted. I have been with this practice from birth and now I 56 years old, but in the last 18 months this surgery has hit rock bottom! Shocking!
Very happy to come to this practice. The reception team are always very helpful and friendly. I think the doctors are amazing, I have seen Roy and Genevieve Hamilton many times for myself and my children and they always give excellent care. I recently met the new Doctor, Dr Lawson who I saw for my 17 month old daughter he was absolutely lovely with her and took the time to explain everything to me. He's a credit to the practice. Im very happy that myself and my family attend this practice. Thank you.
Never have any appointments absolute joke its always “you have to call tomorrow” then u get through its theres no appointments . awful !
I have been with Albany house for the biggest part of my life, I have never had any problems and received excellent support. Now, getting a appointment is near impossible having waited for over a hour since lines opened. I feel it's not the same place since when I first joined.
Taking over 2 months and constant chasing for having a simple prescription!!! Doctors have been nice, if you can get the chance to speak ever with them. People at reception and that work with prescriptions are not efficient at all and not informed and will do anything to not help you.nkt reliable or accountable. Furthermore: No working time in weekend, long time of wait at the phone, a nurse available just couple of days in a week. So disappointed I am going to change my practice as soon as possible. Shame that to access good doctors you have to go trough this disservice.
Been trying to get appointment for months. Today been on hold 56 mins and still no answer. Caller number 2 for 25 mins. Used to be a great surgery.
