Went for day surgery on 9/12/22 and the team were great, couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Many thanks to Gemma, Gwen, Dawn and Tracey for making it a great experience.
I have contacted the Tewkesbury Hospital where several penguins were passed from a handler wearing latex gloves and a plastic apron, to vulnerable patients; how is that a natural environment for the penguins? I have raised my concerns with Julie Ellery who is Matron at the hospital - but her response was quite unsatisfactory. In that she maintained that the animals were not stressed. How would she know? Secondly aren't birds in some kind of lock down. I'd have thought that taking penguins into a hospital is just asking for trouble, with the potential for viral mutations etc. WHO PAID FOR IT TOO...I THOUGHT THE NHS WAS ON ITS KNEES!
Really can't fault this place. Easy parking, conveniently located next to the town center to get things for my relation when needed but more importantly the quality of care and support from staff is exemplary! Thank you so much for your support.
What a lovely hospital, staff were great this morning, went for walk in minor illness & was seen quickly. Excellent.
The lady’s here are so amazing. So professional and really make you feel so supported and welcome. Honestly the best care team ever, the hospital is very clean and the trainees are well trained would recommend to anyone.
I had a cataract operation on 31 Aug 2021. Hospital was immaculately clean and the staff so friendly, professional and caring. I had the eye surgeon who treats me for another condition in Gloucester, which was perfect as he knows my history. The hospital is a credit to the management and staff and I am very grateful for their care.
What a great place with such helpful staff and caring nurses. Can't thank the minor injuries unit in general and Charlotte in particular enough for sorting out my wrist injury. Just absolutely wonderful.

Surgery during pandemic - Brilliant in every way. A very reassuring system of testing, admissions, the operation and going home. Full on information. Super clean. Lovely staff. Felt more like a private hospital experience.
Visited Tewkesbury Hospital for a cataract operation. What a wonderful hospital! The staff were so lovely making me feel relaxed and explaining every step of the procedure. Aftercare was amazing following the operation- I was given a coffee and biscuits and my aftercare and medication explained fully. Thank you to all the staff on Elmbury Suite.
