The staff in this post office are usually fine. But, I heard that there's one member of staff in particular that's rude and unfriendly with some customers. I hadn't experienced her until now. Long story short, I went in to return items from Amazon and the lady with glasses on and coloured hair started complaining about.. having to do her job and saying it's annoying to have to deal with Amazon returns. She complained once at the beginning and again when she was dealing with my parcels. She even asked how many parcels I have left in a frustrated tone what was she going to do? Decline to serve me if I had a certain amount of parcels? and, at the end of the transaction, when I asked if she'd finished scanning everything, her tone was snappy and not friendly or polite at all. The rest of the staff I've dealt with are kind and patient, especially the older lady with the white hair. You're brilliant and have great energy. But, this particular member of staff with the glasses and coloured hair was highly unpleasant to deal with. If she doesn't like her job, she should look for a new one; not take it out on customers.
I have lived in Crystal Palace for 13 years and have always used this branch. I find the staff both in the shop itself and the post office counter excellent. They go out of their way to help. I have often heard customers being really rude to the staff and they deal with it calmly and professionally.
Refused service for topping up my gas and light for parking my bike outside on the pavement. His behaviour was unexceptabale. A stranger in his vehicle parked outside to protect my bike while i pleaded for my gas card and light to be topped up as my granddaughter was home waiting for me to cook her dinner. But he refused. I can only give him a BIG 0. He even told the other gentleman not to serve me which I think I need to report, can any body advise me? I will not use this post office again...
Had so many pleasant experiences in this post office. Today 18/04/24 at 1pm I was served by a lovely lady with glasses and tattoos, think her name was leyla, who went above and beyond to help me and was just such a pleasure to be served by but as I walked away, some old guy started screaming and shouting at her something awful and was just a nasty bit of work really. Everyone's on here slagging the staff off, but the staff put up with a awful lot and the public as most people know are horrible! That poor woman wasn't even backed or helped by her colleagues, she was on her own. I couldn't do their job! Thankyou leyla, for a wonderful experience, and ignore the others, you do a great job!
I have been sending our shop voucher for 2 years, Sign For 2nd class at the same price £2.25. Today, 28/03/24 16:41, their new staff member, a female 40s-50s, from India or Pakistan, she always rude as a few times before experience. I told her I wanted to send a Sign For 2nd class, she told me £3.45. I asked her why. She said it because my letter didn't go through the small letterbox, it will stuck. I told her it was just a small ribbons, and if the post man pushes it harder a little bit, it would go through. But she said they can not, she charged me for large envelope. I'm in a rush so no arguing with her about the size she wants to charge. And she told me if that the voucher it's no guaranteed the person will get it, which is silly I want the person to get it that's the reason I sent Sign For. After getting back to my shop I realize she charged me for 1st class Sign For as well. What's a horrible overcharged & rude service from her.
The middle age staff member from India or Pakistan on duty was not cooperative and displayed a level of rudeness that was quite disheartening. She did not understand what a basic DVLA request of returning documents to the sender is, although I am sure they deal with these agencies everyday. On top of that she refused reading the text from the DVLA which was explaining the whole process. She made me purchase an envelope for nothing. This lack of basic customer service and rudeness to customers is unacceptable. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, especially when there is a sign above your head saying "OUR STAFF DO NOT TOLERATE BAD BEHAVIOURS".
Just thought I'd give them a nice review because everyone seems to be bashing them... it's a very busy post office. Usually you have to queue but they always get the job done. No complaints from me...
There is one staff at the post office middle aged I believe she may be from India or Pakistani who every time I visit to drop off parcels or letters has an attitude. She is always frowning and mutters under her breath and gets slightly irritated when you ask her to repeat herself. Yesterday I dropped off a parcel, to my dismay it was her who served me. I was running late for an appointment, I paid for a Royal Mail label and I had to fill out the name and address onto a shipping label sticker to stick on the parcel, I hurried and did this. When I finished, she was counting money which should have been done after she finished dealing with me. I waited for about 2 minutes whilst she was counting and got a bit annoyed and had to nudge her that i finished writing the address in the label , for her to then tell me to “hold on” while she finished counting. I really dread seeing her when I go ti the post office
If there was another post office closer, I’d use it. All of the post office staff are really unfriendly and seem to get joy out of being obstructive; I have had first-hand experience of this multiple times, and also witnessed it happening to others. For example, a very elderly woman was posting a parcel on behalf of her daughter; the woman behind the counter asked what was in the parcel, the woman didn’t know, so she refused to accept the parcel, saying ‘it could be dangerous’. Please. It’s a little old lady who can barely walk - the kind and sensible thing would have been to accept the parcel, not send her away. Anyway, just one example of the staff being jobsworths. No pleases and thank yous, ever, and absolutely no smiles. A shame as I find the shop staff really nice.
Proper rip off, envelope £1.49 avoid this post office if possible or if you do use make sure take everything with you otherwise will be buying tape envelope or even empty printer paper you have to pay for
