Nice, clean and functional with a contemporary design. The location is close enough to Birmingham to enjoy city life, but close to the ring road for easy motorway access. Theres a young fell about the area as its surrounded by a number of universities. I wouldn't recommend the room service as my pizza was burnt, but the breakfast was varied and constantly replenished
I visited Aston University for 3 months and I really enjoyed it. The people are very nice and friendly. It has an international atmosphere. Lecturers are very good. The campus is beautiful, especially the lake and the birds. The location of university is great, it's close to city centre.
When I visited this place, I thought it was all Owned by Unite students. Later saw that property and campus area was good enough.
A modern university with a good vibe, very welcoming especially the medicine and neuroscience department. Right in the heart of the city centre with good accommodation facilities for the students
Terrible university. They have extremely poor commutation with the students and do not support the struggling students
I'm a student there. Absolutely delighted with my decision to choose Aston Uni to do my post-grad study at. It's full of opportunities, great academic content, a wonderful multicultural student population and it has everything you could want on your doorstep in a city centre that is well and truly going places on a global scale. I have even thought about doing a PhD because I love it there that much.
Great University with dedicated and supportive staff. They have a strong presence within the city and prospective employers. Can only comment on their Business School where I completed my studies which I give my total respect and appreciation for their consistent motivation and varied teaching methods provided
Nice campus. Friendly people. Good accommodation.
Since graduating I have felt extremely let down by Aston. For a start my exchange uni which I was only at for one year has been incredibly helpful and informative sending me information on new achievements as well as wishing me well and helping to build connections over LinkedIn to further our careers Meanwhile at Aston, when enquiring about why I was not receiving communications that my friends were, they closed my case and ignored me. Additionally, my brother has extra needs was told he was not allowed to attend my graduation and that he would have to watch from a screen because the graduation team had chose a venue too small. There are multiple multiple ceremonies at multiple times across the week, however, Aston decided to release our tickets on a first come first serve basis all at the same time as the other ceremonies for thousands of other students. Obviously meaning the website would crash with thousands of students accessing at the same time and denying us of this opportunity. Even having the nerve to essentially say tough the tickets aren’t a guarantee. The post graduation disrespect by Aston has been unbelievable, at first with a joke of a virtual graduation and now this trying to cut costs on venue with no thought of students, only an opportunity to save money. It is this lack of care and respect which makes me ashamed to be an Aston Alumni
Could not give 0 stars otherwise would have. No support whatsoever, even if you have needs of any kind. No standards. What was shown on open day was an oscar winning performance. Psychology department is a mess. They should be ashamed. They should check the intake vs dropout rates....and no it's not because of Covid. Kids not having completed their A levels were shoved into a course with all new modules and teachers who left information until last minute. If you ever asked a question more often than not they belittled you. Please do your research and dont go by what some of the fake 5 star reviews are saying. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
