Excellent food, service good but few serving staff the day we were there, although the staff were very friendly and amenable to food options. Allergy listing of menu items invaluable. Parking very useful and free to users of the restaurant but registering your vehicle reg is a must. Would definitely go there again.Service: 3/5
My family from the US stayed here for 2 weeks whilst visiting my husband and I. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating, moving my parents to another room when their initial room needed a repair. All the food is delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered, often in the lovely garden in the back. Special shout-out to Georgia, who does the breakfast service single-handed, with great cheer and patience- she went above and beyond, even acting as a witness for me and my husband for a last urgent document to close on our flat purchase!
First time here. Great vibe and location. I would recommend it for the straightforward menu with plenty of good choices, unlike places with overly complicated options. The food was great, aswell as the food. No food rating opinion so it must be a glitch otherwise 5Rooms: 5/5
What an exquisite experience. The staff and French Manager couldn't do more to insure we had a perfect stay. The breakfast is amazing and we can have it in the garden. A wonderful experience! We will be back!
Had the most amazing stay here- it was absolutely faultless. The staff went above and beyond. The food was incredible! The rooms were quite homely and the bed was very comfortable, the shower was also amazing! Looking forward to another stay! Thank you once again to the staff for making our stay absolutely amazing would highly recommend this awesome hotel.
Nice pub, decent food, good range of beers. Interesting menu as well. My only real criticism is that it's not the best value. For instance, Sea bass with potatoes and veg is pennies short of £20. Fine - but when the server points out that you don't get much in the way of potato with that, so you might want to order another side or two - well, it racks up. Otherwise, difficult to find fault.
Gorgeous food and excellent service from Kirsty who was friendly, attentive and efficient. The best Irish coffee this side of the Irish Sea from Anastasia. We will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Tulse Hill Tavern, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the roast featuring a porchetta that surpassed all expectations. Every single component of the meal was executed to perfection. The roast potatoes were nothing short of extraordinary – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to absolute perfection. They were, without a doubt, the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had. The gravy was a delight, rich and flavorful, complementing the porchetta beautifully. Speaking of the porchetta, it was the star of the show. The meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with savory goodness. But the crackling? Oh, the crackling was divine – incredibly crunchy and packed with flavor. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes that left me craving more. I can honestly say that this meal was a culinary masterpiece. If you’re looking for an outstanding roast, look no further than the Tulse Hill Tavern. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to indulge in this exquisite dish again. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff, decent service, nice chicken Kiev and fish and chips, and really nice sticky toffee pudding. The only negative was they seemed to forgot the dessert for like 15 min but besides that, was pretty goodService: 4/5
Booked at 12pm for a Sunday roast on Easter Sunday but was very disappointed. We got there and were told that the chef didn’t have the roasts ready and we’d have to wait until 2pm for that. I had guests from out of the country who were really looking forward to it. The service is always lovely and they were very apologetic but this is not how to run the restaurant. I would also love to point out that when my parents were staying at the hotel one morning the chef was late for the breakfast service and they had to wait an hour to eat. This is my local and is normally lovely, I feel something has changed in the last couple of months though
