Amazingly clean and spacious room. A great price and the chap at reception was really good. Took time to explain everything, went through local information and answered all questions. Their prices are very good too. They only slight downside is connection to the tube is a bit of a walk. But not too bad and there are buses. Overall really good and would stay again . Rooms: Very clean, good size and comfy. The bed was good, TV with sky, lots of wardrobe space and nice bathroom.
Comfortable rooms, good temperature. Excellent rates of stay. 10 minute walk to tube and pubs / restaurants/ shops etc. Parking on site at good rate £8 / day. Staff, can’t remember his name sorry, pleasant, good communicator, helpful with anything asked / requested. He enhanced our stay. Will definitely return as looking at West End shows soon. Great few days
Always a fantastic stay here. Great staff, excellent location. Room is always spotless and service with a smile. I stay here at least once a month and it’s always a pleasure to return! Have stayed in both the double and single rooms, all spacious and exactly what you need for a comfortable stay away from the hustle and bustle.Rooms: 5/5
We have recently stayed in a few places around this price - including some big chains and slightly more expensive places - and this is by a very long way the best. Comfortable and clean and interesting rooms. Friendly manager. Great location.Rooms: 5/5
Very poor service. Our baby fell ill ahead of our visit so I phoned the hotel to see if anything could be done. The receptionist spoke very little English not her fault but told me clearly that the manager would call me back. It's almost a month later now and I've yet to hear a thing. Seems they're more than happy to take your money but not so bothered about looking after their customers.
Staff I met were friendly however in the morning after our trip I was making the bed and noticed old blood stains all over the duvet as well as many other marks. The manager of hotel has refused to give a refund and is now ignoring my emails completely. Expedia are not being helpful either. I am very disappointed at the poor customer service and failing of hotel on hygiene.
What a great find and price. Wonderful Victorian house made into a hotel. Huge bedrooms for London and ensuite shower was great. Friendly staff on reception. It is a brisk 10 minute walk to Balham train station going to Victoria or Clapham junction or the tube northern line. Quiet at night although road noise original single pane windows may disturb some people - it is a quiet road though. It is right next to a large park/common as well. Rooms: Double bedroom was very large and comfortable bed. En-suite shower and toilet great.
Lovely simple B&B, nice clean room. Good decoration. Easy check-in. Note that Bfast is no longer available.
Im giving it 5 stars because for the price I can't fault it. I paid £65 but I'm not sure its always that good. A beautiful large victorian house that is a genuine joy to be in. Downsides - single glazing and noisy road so bring earplugs, bedding bit stuffy - cheap foam duvet and mattress could be firmer. Upsides - simply beautiful, if you enjoy character and get sick of generic travelodge stays this is for you. Its well kept clean and lovely. I even had a bath! Spacious room, made up with care. Fair prices, unheard of in london. So thank you!
STAY AWAY. Booked a couple of rooms for one night and 2 days after my booking, a close relative passed away and I requested for a refund, given the exceptional circumstances. I was met with 0 care, 0 understanding, 0 compassion and 0 customer service.Service: 1/5
