New manager with a great sense of providing a community pub. Excellent beer kept well and 3 diffent meals tested over weeks. Consistent friendly community pub.

Even 1star is generous...probably one of the worst pubs I have ever been to...Somebody who knows how to run a pub and build a proper business needs to grab hold of this place and deal with it. It is a potential gold-mine but instead...a continuing failure!

DO NOT BOOK A FUNCTION HERE!! booked a function room in December; turned up on the night, decorations, DJ, caterers and guests in tow.......only to see the pub was CLOSED! My function ruined. No contact made to this day by the pub to resolve the issue after emails texts and phone calls. I gave one star as zero was not an option to write a review! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

A place to be avoided. I booked for two nights but only stayed for one. The carpet was dirty and half of it was missing. There were hairs near the tea and coffee. The vertical blinds, some of them were missing. No mirror or bedside lamp in the room. You had to stand at the bottom of bed to use remote control. The area had takeaways and a small supermarket. We pointed out our issues to the receptionist, she told us other people do complain.
