Stayed for a few days two weeks running while visiting husband in St George's Hospital Tooting. Easy direct bus journey to hospital. Had standard and superroom, both comfortable and clean. Special thanks to Ilse on reception who was so helpful and friendly and was a welcoming face on returning from stressful hospital visit. Excellent location for buses and trains. Balham Social Indian restaurant and Bucci Italian restaurant nearby were very good.
Noisy location next to the train tracks but manageable with earplugs. Very easy to find, 50yds from the tube entrance, clean hotel entrance and lift area, very clean rooms. Good choice of shops and restaurants nearby.Rooms: 5/5
Pretty standard travelodge, cleanliness and amenities etc as to be expected. Right next to the tube stop which is great and we managed to get a good price through agoda. Loads of nice places to eat around and friendly and helpful man on reception with recommendations of said places. Main problem was we requested a twin room but had been assigned a double bed and they didn't have any available to swap to - free kitkats for the inconvenience lol. Also the free WiFi tag is a lie - only free for 30mins!!
Stayed here about three years ago when my family was temporarily homeless. It was the first time I found out that pets are welcome as I was in a desperate situation with finding housing for a family with dogs. Never an option to get rid of canine family members as is required to in emergency circumstances by Councils, we were able to stay paying the supplementary fees for pets until I was able to secure permanent residence for my family. We Love Travelodge Establishments.
An appalling hotel and terrible customer service. We booked to stay two nights here. We arrived on a hot, summer afternoon to find that none of the rooms have windows that open, they are literally sealed shut, and no air conditioning. There is no way to ventilate the rooms, so as well as being hot, uncomfortable and smelly, it also feels like a health hazard post pandemic and Grenfell. We decided against staying. They've refused to refund our first night and only paid back part of what we were owed for the second night, its taken time and effort to claim back what we're contractually owed.
Our second stay at this location, this time in a standard room. Again, fantastic stay. Such a great location, easy to access the city and lots of shops right on the doorstep. We stayed over the Christmas Period and the hotel staff were so lovely, even leaving a Christmas card with chocolates in our room on Christmas Eve. Will definitely be back again in 2023.
Reasonably priced, clean and convenient. Beware the train tracks are very close to the hotel so there’s some noise
Although train noise was apparent everything else was good. The shower tray was too smallRooms: 5/5
Nice room but dissapointed in the "upgraded" room, sorry I forget the exact name. It was small at their acclaimed 3 jet shower is not 3 jets from different directions etc. As you'd imagine but rather 3 rotating jets from the shower head, it felt nice but nothing that special. Service was good but we didn't have a lot of interaction. Price wise, it was quite expensive for what it was, even for London, I paid a third of it for an almost last minute booking at the Hastings Travelodge this was for A lesser room but somehow ended up being bigger and nicer.
Staff are wonderful and super friendly/helpful. Room was spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable. Location was excellent too , busy area but very quiet within hotel .Plus they were happy to have me and 2 Staffordshire bull terriers stay for an extended period. Can not fault this hotel and the lovely staff. Only minus was lack of parking on site unless u r disabled .I will definitely be using this hotel again and would recommend. Quite shocked reading some of the reviews as it's the complete opposite of what I have experienced.
