The Travelodge at Widnes is such a good place to stay not only because of where it is but mainly because the staff are always so helpful, the rooms we have had have always been very clean and the staff bend over backwards to help in every way they can. It's great because you can get a breakfast or evening meal at Toby across the road and there is also a McDonald's just across the road for breakfast or lunch. I would recommend anyway to stay at this Travelodge its great to get into Liverpool and also Cheshire oaks for shopping. All in all we look forward to staying here again very soon many thanks pat and Jon
First thing is a shout out to the lovely lady who greeted us on arrival. The room didn’t smell great and she immediately moved us. The other room was better, pretty dated compared to the GeminiTravelodge, however the rates were cheaper. The room itself was clean, but again the bedding wasn’t as luxurious as the Gemini, but it was still very clean. As a previous reviewer stated you get what you pay for, overall a very reasonable priced room.nThe other lady on reception was extremely helpful and suggested we go in the annexe next time, which she has moved us into for our next stay.nTravelodge are extremely lucky to have such wonderful and invested staff, 10/10
Really strange smell in the room. Curtains were hanging off the rail and the whole bathroom smelt really strongly of bleach - so at least it was clean. Service at the reception was really friendly and accommodating. You really get what you pay for.
We have stayed here before so knew about the location, convenient but not staying again, so noisy. Walls are thin & a couple in the next room screaming at 4am ‍ no staff on desk to complain to. But having said that the staff were good when we did see them on checking in….. prem inn next time
An absolutely awful stay at this “hotel”.nnThe room was dirty especially the bathroom.nnThere was lots of noise, room faced onto the main road, but internal noise was just as bad, there appeared to be lots of drug misuse in the carpark, people running up & down the corridors in the early hours. The night porters apologised but no action taken to stop it.nnMy partner and I had to wait 20 mins to check in as the reception desk was closed/then the female blonde receptionist didn’t even apologise, she just said “what’s the name” rather abruptly.nOn check out again the desk was unattended with no staff to be found, so we had no one to give feedback to and left the key at the desk.nnAppalling will not return.
