We were bounced here from a close by Travelodge, due to sewer issues. No problems. Thomas was on staff to greet us and tell us all we needed to know about our room, the amenities and his 24 hour service on the phone. He was friendly, polite, professional and was back there in the morning when we checked out. 100% perfect, thanks to Thomas.
Parking is ridiculous here, no soap in bathroom, damp in bathroom, false advertising with discount sent in email for services and breakfasts. The room also got very warm, being on the ground floor didn't want to leave windows open during day and the noise you could here outside and between rooms! It was also difficult for the location as you had to go all the the way round to get back to it when traveling from grain rather than direct to services as joining bridge has shops in it making it inconvenient. It's only practical probably for people only stopping on way to somewhere.
My wife and I arrived tea time Christmas eve and was checked in by member of staff at break neck speed with no smile and was given key to Room number 120, bathroom was pretty grim with bath mat stuck down with crud around edge of mat and some of wall tiles, the dark blue carpet was grey 2-3 inches around the edge with thick dust bed was sloping badly to the middle so we didn't sleep well and our backs were hurting in the morning, we asked at reception if could change to a different room for the second night and was assured when we came back later we would be given the key to a different room, when we got back we were told the manager by the name of Beth had seen the request and she ticked it as if sorted, we were told that we were not allowed to change rooms we would have to sleep in the same room as the night before , so we spent another night with backache and not much sleep, won't be going back anytime soon discusting treatment,
Handy stop-off for an early channel tunnel crossing. Inexpensive and no frills but has a comfortable bed and bathroom. Poor ventilation so the rooms are very warm.Rooms: 3/5
Room was a little outdated but ok for the night. Biggest issue was finding it when you exit the M2 Dover bound. The road entrance shows 'No Entry'. However the small print says 'except for Travelodge'. Very difficult to see that at night. Rooms: Very outdated. Needs a bit of TLC Walkability: Getting to the Service area bit confusing as zero signage through the car/lorry Park. Food & drinks: In the Service Station only really M&S and Burger King. Both overpriced
Very much your normal travelodge experience. Functional clean room great for a sleep before carrying on with one's journey the following dayRooms: 4/5
Lovely stopover at this travelodge. Comfortable with great helpful reception staff. I wish all travelodge stays were to the same high standard experienced here. Well done.Rooms: 5/5
Really good staff very welcoming and friendly very pet friendly free parking room was clean and all u needed and very fair prices woud reuse local food outlets to all in walking distanceRooms: 4/5
Regular user of this hotel. Quiet location, plenty of parking. Rooms usually clean.Rooms: 4/5
If you're a light sleeper this isn't the place for you. It felt like a hotel for truckers. Loud music playing at 5.20am, accompanied by a guy changing his truck's tyres very loudly in the car park out front. I guess because of the area there is a lot of noise early. The room is very basic and a bit smelly of old carpet, but the bed is comfy, the TV works and the sheets are clean so it's ok for a stopover. I was able to bring my dog, which is very handy, but it's really overpriced for what you get, I did not get enough sleep to continue my journey.
