Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, comfy beds, no AC but was still fantastic as the windows were sufficient during our stay, breakfast was awesome in the Cookhouse and pub and their coffee is very decent. Location is great if you're driving. Well worth the money. No complaints to make.
Very surprised by the high level of customer service. The reception staff were so helpful and really couldn’t do enough for us. The room was nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable. The high standard of customer service is comparable to much more expensive hotels.
Very lovely staff members! Thanks for letting me check the room again for my lost jewellery and being so kind in the process. I managed to find it in the end but the way you handled the situation was deeply appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place for the professionalism and the great attitude of the staff xx
The hotel is situated in an easy to reach location within the Medway towns, giving you access to all of the local towns, train stations etc. via a short car/ bus ride.nnThe room was reasonably sized and was decorated in a modern style, but unfortunately we found our room to have hairs etc left behind from the previous occupants, so I’m not convinced that they’re being cleaned properly.nOur room was located on the opposite side of the hotel entrance, so unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the traffic on the main road. This is to be expected given the hotel’s proximity to the road, but still something to bear in mind if you’re a light sleeper. In terms of noise from other guests and things though, there wasn’t any to note.nOne important thing to note was that the room and the hotel in general isn’t air conditioned, nor is there a way of controlling the cooling of the room, only the heating, which even when turned off left the room at 24C regardless to if it was raining outside etc.nI can’t imagine what it would be like staying here in the height of summer, so that may be something to bear in mind if you suffer from the heat.nnWe decided to add breakfast on to our stay, which takes place in the adjoining building. This was decent enough and seemed to have a lot of options to suit everyone’s needs, including vegetarian “meat” options that could be cooked on demand.nBear in mind that this breakfast is also available to the general public too, so you may want to give it a miss on the weekend days, or show up super early to avoid the masses.nnThe hotel staff, particularly “AJ”, really carry this hotel. They’re all very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Some of the maintenance ladies sorry, I didn’t get your names were very helpful and got me a fan for the room when the heat was unbearable and that helped significantly.nAJ greeted us warmly when we arrived around midnight on our first night here and gave us a nice room and told us everything we had to know about our stay, and was just a general pleasure to deal with exactly the sort of person you need to speak to when you’ve been travelling for 10 hours and are tired. If the manager’s reading this - you’re not paying him enough, he’s great.nSadly the breakfast staff in the adjoining building could be a bit friendlier. It all seemed a bit chaotic in there if I’m honest and the staff all felt a bit standoffish, which was a bit of an odd contrast when compared with how nice all of the hotel staff were.nnOverall a decent experience and one of the better priced hotels in the area, so I’d likely stay here again.
Love this hotel really cleannOn my second visitnWas welcomed by a receptionist named shelly who was really warm and welcoming and talkative making you feel welcome to the hotelnVery clean rooms however some rooms are new while others are slightly dated but still nice and cleannOne lift in the entire building and if your in the further end it's a long walk to the lift
