I walked into the Travelodge to book a room after train delays. Had to stand in reception &go online to book the room as reception couldn't book anything!nChose 'today' but because the rooms were full, it defaulted to a week later!!nI then had to pay a admin change fee to move the dates, even though I was standing in reception rhe whole ordeal!!!nAbsolutely ridiculous & absurd.nNo booking assistance. No customer service.nnI requested the admin fee to be refunded at the very least &an apology. Of course they refused.nThe booking system is new apparently, and a complete joke!!nRuined the first night of my trip!!nnRecommend you boycott this awful firm &find a better hotel.

We booked a family room for extra room & a bath.nOn arrival Nancy was very friendly & pleasant.nThe weather was awful but entering our room is was lovely to find the room nice & warm & very clean.nLocation is great & parking was free which is good as generally you have to pay anything up to a extra £15 at Premier Inns.nThere's a lovely pub literally on your doorstep which is another great bonus.nI mentioned the weather being awful but as we were leaving the Lodge to go out the evening lady, Irene offered us a Brolly which was very thoughtful.nOverall our experience was very good which had a lot to do with the staff.nWould definitely stay here again.

I normally quite enjoy a Travelodge experience, but I think this establishment is overdue a refurb. My primary concern is that the shower water pressure is abysmal, particularly if other hotel users are using the shower at the same time. Furthermore, whilst the bed is comfortable, I was disappointed that there were no plug sockets near the bedside table. Overall, the place feels quite tired although the lady on the main reception seemed nice enough.

Room 106 should come with a warning. You will get hardly any sleep. What family wants this? Absolutely ridiculous to have someone working nights with industrial laundry equipment so close to guest bedrooms, with little or no sound proofing. The vibration and noise when the machine is running is overwhelming itself, but to have machines that require the doors to be slammed shut adds insult to injury. Then a noisy trolley getting dragged around the floor when the load has finished! I suggest that if the night porter must have additional duties and it's convenient to have them close to reception, give up 2 car parking places and build a separate sound proofed block outside reception. Either that or contract cleaning off site to keep sleeping guests comfortable and not subjected to the torture technique of sleep deprivation. It's 2 star, all thats expected is a bed to sleep in and a bathroom!

Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean. Convenient location for us. Nice pub opposite for dinner/breakfast if you don't want to explore further. Would stay again.
