Had a lovely time here today. Staff amazing. Bar snacks looked amazing so brought some home and they absolutely did not disappoint! Thank you
Paid a visit, looked reasonably empty from outside, enter to be greeted with life. There real ale pumps on but all main stream can get any where and only pale ales.
Very friendly staff, its cosy like veing at home, nothing is too.much trouble ,
Do not stay in room three on a Friday or Saturday night.nnNoise from live music was so loud furniture shook and you couldn't hear the TV if you had wanted to. We had to go out as it was so awful. When we got back a staff member said they had a quieter room they could move us to for the Saturday, as the music would be going on until midnight that night. We said yes please and agreed to pack up our bags and move the following afternoon we were told we couldn't move in the morning and were assured the room would be blocked off for us. The music finished on the Friday at 10.15pm, after which it was noisy, but only the sort of noisy you'd expect in a room above a pub, until midnight.nnThe following afternoon we went to change rooms as agreed, only to be told the room they were moving us to was just as loud and, in any case, as it hadn't been blocked off someone else had now booked it. We were offered 40 pounds off the bill and told that the music was a singer with a guitar and would finish around 10pm. Needless to say this was just not true; it was a disco that finished at midnight and the room vibrated the entire time. Trying to make the best of it we went downstairs for a dance. It genuinely was the same volume as in our room.nnWe're pretty relaxed about noise, and I've lived in flats above restaurants / student union etc but this was unlike anything I've experienced. What should have been a relaxing break was an endurance test and we left feeling frazzled and exhausted rather than recharged. The worst part was being messed about and told conflicting stories. A third staff member later told us that room three is awful for noise and no wonder we were struggling. Up until that point the three people we'd dealt with were very nice. A fourth then came and found us to say, what did we expect staying above a pub on a Saturday night.nnShame, as Bewdley is lovely and the room itself was clean and cosy. In our efforts to escape the noise we visited most of the other pubs in town and they were all very nice, especially the White Hart just over the road and the Little Pack Horse
My favourite place to drink in Bewdley. The staff are friendly, the people who drink there are friendly, good selection of drinks, cobs and bar snacks. The drinks aren't expensive to today's standards and the outside space is beautiful perfect for winter with a log burner.
