The Mug House & Angry Chef

About

We are a Riverside Pub with an AA rosette Restaurant & 7 Bedrooms

Story

Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant.

Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation.

A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire

I'm very pleased that I chose The Mug House for my overnight stay in BewdleynThe room Daffodil was spacious, well appointed and comfortable with plenty of space to work and relax.nThe staff were very welcoming and attentive.nMake sure you check out the garden - what a hidden treat!nThe meal in the bar / restaurant was tasty and good value and I liked the range of beers avaialble.nBreakfast was delicious.
We enjoyed a lovely Sunday Roast lunch and delicious puddings. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There were four in our party and we were seated at a table in the window, with a view of the river. We had a delicious coffee sat at an outside table with a great view of the river and bridge. Thank you so much.
Service was good and location is a nice spot, there rear garden was lovely. But unfortunately there food really let them down. Burger was really dry and burnt. And there fish cod would have been nice but there batter wasn't very nice. Would recommend a drink in the garden but wouldn't recommend food as you pay over the odds for not food that isn't that good
We popped into the Mug House for a spot of lunch on Saturday, we was welcomed by what would appear to be the colorful and charming owner.nWe had the fish and chips and a pork baguette.nThe food was freshly prepared, hot and very tasty.nThe homemade chips were beautiful!nA lovely pub, great friendly staff and beautiful food, highly recommend the mug house is your popping into town for the day. 10/10
I have eaten at this pub / restaurant several times and always find the food and locoation to be perfect. The service is exceptional and we were looked after by Lisa today who was friendly and professional and made sure we has everything we needed. We were able to choose where we sat and as always the food was amazing.
