We are a Riverside Pub with an AA rosette Restaurant & 7 Bedrooms

Story

Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant.

Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation.



A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire

Brilliant! Had a smoked salmon sandwich and a pint. It isn't often these day that you get freshly sliced smoked salmon and lots of it too! The flavour was outstanding. Thanks Drew, landlord and a Man for all seasons.

Friendly Pub. Great surrounding area. Staff very attentive. Make you feel very welcome. Angry Chef restaurant fantastic food and menu. Love it here can't wait to go back.

Gluten free heaven with chips, onion rings, fish cakes AND scotch eggs! Beautiful old pub right by the river with lovely staff.

Nice place for a meal. The sheltered and heated back garden is lovely but people smoke inside here so unless you're okay breathing in smoke, stay inside. Very cosy though

Went to the Mug House for my partners birthday.. Had the starter pate which was very nice.. When I ordered the main course fish chips and mushy peas.. I asked the guy behind the bar if I could swop the peas for a salad.. I was told no, which I think was a little small minded.. After all I wasn't asking for extra, just to replace the peas.. I was told all the food was budgeted.. I think for a large fish and chips costing over £10 they could of accomodated a little salad which costs a few pence.. Also when I went to use the vinegar it was in a pepper pot which was spilling all over the place.. I love quality food and really don't mind paying for it, but felt there was no lea way.. The attitude was almost take it or leave it.. If I had been behind the bar taking the order, I would of said yes certainly.. Clearly not bothered.. What happened to customer friendly.. Mm disappointing..
