About

We are a Riverside Pub with an AA rosette Restaurant & 7 Bedrooms

Story

Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant.

Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation.

A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire

Our walking group went there for a meal after a damp walk in the lovely Wyre Forest.nWe had been booked in 2pm, but the restaurant allowed us to bring forward our booking because we had finished our walk early.nThe staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The service throughout the meal was excellent.nThere was a good range of dishes on the menu, including gluten free for one of our group. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had a large beer battered cod and chips. The fish was beautiful, white fleshy fish in a delicious light batter. I couldn't fault it.nThere was a nice warm atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff worked hard to make a good experience.
Stopped in for lunch today and had such a lovely experience. The service was really welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. The food tasted properly home-cooked and comforting, and the beer was excellent too. A great spot: would definitely recommend!
Had a very nice lunch with my wife.nShe had the cottage pie and I had sea bass fillets in white wine sauce. Both were decent size portions, tasty and well presented.nStaff are friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it topped off our visit to Bewdley.nThank you!!
Visited this place again yesterday for my fiancees birthday treat.nAs ever superb food, great service from friendly, helpful staff.nIt's so rare these days to find somewhere that is consistently good .nOur dog was made really welcome too.
Lovely meal out for a birthday celebration. Excellent food, great service, attentive but not pushy....nothing too much trouble. They made a big fuss of our dog too.nWe've been several times previously and the food and service are consistently excellent. ......which seems to be quite unusual these days!nThank you.
