Hotel is in a good location however our issue is with one of the rooms. Beware room 20 on the ground floor. There is constant noise through the wall from whatever is next door. I’m assuming it’s beside a plant room for heating/ ventilation/hot water boiler etc. Lots of noise on and off all the time .
Comfortable room, staff very friendly. Although booked as a double 2 people only one hand towel and bath towel. I asked reception and I was given an extra set. Chairs in bedroom a bit scruffy and it would be nice if they swapped a double socket and replaced it with a USB socket for phones.
When we arrived to check in, there was someone at the reception desk, which was useful, given the hotel is solo-staffed.nnWe collected key cards and headed to our room, where there were only 3 beds and towels for 4 of us, however this was quickly fixed with a visit to the staff at reception, who swiftly came to put up another bed for us.nnThe room had opening windows which was good, although the traffic noise was quite loud due to the proximity to the A96.nnThe TV worked fine, although the volume is fixed, which can get annoying when other people in the room are making noise, and Wifi is limited to 30 minutes for free, which is disappointing given how many places supply permanent free WiFi these days.nnThe hotel is within walking distance to a large Tesco Extra, which is useful, and there is a pub next door. It is also very close to the A9, and not far from the centre of Inverness, making it ideal to stop at when travelling.nnThe rooms are a bit small for 4 people, but are good enough for just 1 night. The bathroom surfaces didn't look clean, and had what appeared to be dried-water marks on them, and the bathroom got very steamy when showering.nnChecking out is very easy as key cards can be dropped in a box when no one is at reception.
Clean, helpful staff, One point deducted as it was difficult to find. The Travelodge sign was hidden by trees. No cooked breakfast available. The room itself was excellent and quiet. Inverness prices are grossly over priced.
Budget friendly, nice and quiet as well. Parking options are available. I lost my access key, and the staff was nice enough not to charge me extra for that.
