Excellent hotel nGreat location - Inverness historic centre and some of Scotland's most iconic sites are all literally a couple of miles away. Walking to the centre of Inverness is only 30 minutes pleasant walk.nThe hotel is immaculately maintained, the breakfast food is very well cooked and is of really good quality. The staff are friendly and could not be more helpful. A supermarket and petrol filling station are a stones throw just down the road, a pub is just opposite the hotel entrance although food and drink can be had at good value and in a nice environment in the hotel. And the car park is very safe.nDefinitely recommend this hotel.
Spacious ground floor roomnWell worth the money breakfast was brill and plenty to choose from. staff very polite and courteous helpful and felt like they couldn't do ant more for me definitely be back again only downfall is had to get a taxi as didn't have my car this time
Only good things to say are that the desk clerk was very pleasant and the room is clean. BUT the room is tiny, the “double” bed is not even close to a queen size, there is only 1 usable electrical outlet and it’s along the baseboard, the shower is insanely small. Just everything is about 2/3 the size it should be. I wouldn’t dream of staying here again.
Disappointing Stay Due to Extremely Limited Space and Poor ServicennI recently checked in to the Holiday Inn Express, Inverness, with my family, and our experience has been quite disappointing so far. We booked a room for two adults and two children, expecting a comfortable stay. However, the room provided is incredibly small, making it very difficult for us to move around or even store our luggage.nnThe room has one double bed and a sofa bed, which leaves barely any space to walk once the sofa bed is extended. This lack of space has made our stay quite uncomfortable, especially with two children. Additionally, the bathroom is also very cramped, adding to our inconvenience. To make matters worse, there is an insufficient supply of tissue paper, which is a basic necessity.nnOn top of these issues, the service at the front office was not satisfactory. Upon check-in today, the front office staff asked me to pay the bill in advance, despite the fact that I had already paid. It was only after my continuous requests that she cross-checked and confirmed that the payment had been made. She did not offer any apology for the mistake, which left a bad impression.nnI have to stay here for another two more days as I have a 3-night stay from July 14, 2024. Due to these issues, I have decided to avoid staying at any Holiday Inn locations in the future, worldwide.
We stopped here twice, in the way up north and the way back. Hotel is clean and reception staff helpful, breakfast is an added bonus. The only downfall is the beds, they are lacking in support, sagging in the middle, the first room was much worse than the second. Hotel ideal situated next to retail park, plenty of food outlets and cinema. We took in a couple of movies.
