Rating: nnWe just returned from a delightful stay at the Holiday Inn Inverness, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the friendly atmosphere and accommodating staff. A special shout-out goes to Judith, the receptionist, who truly made our experience exceptional. Her kindness and willingness to engage in conversation made us feel right at home, and it's clear that Holiday Inn is fortunate to have such a dedicated employee on their team.nnOur room was impressively spacious, providing us with all the comfort we needed during our visit. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout the hotel, which only added to our overall satisfaction.nnThe breakfast bar was a highlight of our stay, consistently well-stocked with a fantastic variety of options. Whether you prefer croissants, cereals, or a hearty cooked breakfast, there was something for everyone. Plus, the tea and coffee machine in the reception area was a lovely touch, allowing us to enjoy a warm beverage at any time.nnWe also appreciated the on-site bar and the evening menu available from the kitchen, making it convenient to unwind after a day of exploring. The free WiFi and parking were added bonuses that made our stay even more enjoyable.nnThe hotel's location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Inverness and the stunning Highlands. It served as an excellent base for our adventures.nnOverall, we had a fantastic visit and would gladly return to the Holiday Inn Inverness. Thank you to Judith and the entire staff for making our stay so memorable!
Dated and in need of renovation. The main in our room stank and the shower head was dripping. So we had to take it off and laid it on the floor else it would have kept us awake all nite.nBut comfy bed with good brekkie with friendly staff. Location is a little out of the way from town. But not to far too drive. Good value overall
We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Judith and Karen was really helpful and we can honestly say that we have never felt more welcomed and at home. The shopping centre and movies are 5min walk way. The only draw-back of the location was the two souped racing cars that were driving around nearby for both nights we were there but not an hotel-specific issue
Excellent hotel nGreat location - Inverness historic centre and some of Scotland's most iconic sites are all literally a couple of miles away. Walking to the centre of Inverness is only 30 minutes pleasant walk.nThe hotel is immaculately maintained, the breakfast food is very well cooked and is of really good quality. The staff are friendly and could not be more helpful. A supermarket and petrol filling station are a stones throw just down the road, a pub is just opposite the hotel entrance although food and drink can be had at good value and in a nice environment in the hotel. And the car park is very safe.nDefinitely recommend this hotel.
They turned a sofa bed into a sleeping arrangement, which can work if done right, but I’ve never slept on such an uncomfortable sofa bed in my life. It’s so uneven that when you lie down, your head ends up lower than your body, leaving you with neck pain in the morning. The metal parts are sticking out from the sides, making it very dangerous, especially if you have children. The rooms are incredibly small, and when the sofa bed is opened, it’s impossible to reach the chair near the table or even the kettle. Overall, a very disappointing experience
