Great first time visit. We arrived very early and asked if it would be OK to park there and check in later. The receptionist was lovely and offered to check us in early as they had rooms ready which was was unexpected and very appreciated. Location in the city centre was great with the shops a min walk away and the views over the river were beautiful.nRoom was bright, spacious and spotless!nYou get slippers provided.. but no robes... which i thought was a little strange.. but in no way did this detract from the overall stay.nThe bar area was so clean, bright with a lovely ambience and staff were professional and helpful in suggesting appropriate.. and delicious..cocktails.nBreakfast was great... so much choice and the quality of everything was excellent.nOverall we loved our stay and would highly recommend to others.
This is the best Marriott I’ve stayed at yet! The location is super convenient for tours and exploring the town, the service is excellent and the employees are engaging and make you feel very welcome, the breakfast is delicious with tons of options, the restaurant is trendy and love that it has options for small affordable dishes, the gym has amazing equipment and a lot more than other hotels offer, and the rooms are modern and so comfortable! Truly outstanding experience here.
Loved its location, right on the river and just 4-5 minutes from the food options . The rooms were very clean and we were given the river view room on our special request. Had a short stay but enjoyed it thoroughly.
Very good location of the hotel. Hardly 5 minutes walk from City Centre/station/ cathedral and the river.nVery good bar operational 24 hours.nWe didn’t take breakfast as had to leave early for sight seeings for all 3 days.nRooms are very well kept and modern.nToiletries, linen etc are very good.
The rooms and the hotel itself are very modern, offering a sleek and stylish atmosphere. As a Bonvoy member, I received a complimentary room upgrade, which I found to be a very thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.nnHowever, there were several disappointing aspects of our stay. The parking fees are overly high considering the room prices. Despite paying for parking and registering during check-in and check-out, we still received a parking ticket. Got cancelled from hotel staff with a simple mailnnNoise from the rooms above was quite noticeable, as you could hear people walking around. This suggests that the ceiling/floor insulation is not adequate, which detracts from the comfort expected in a 4-star hotel.nnWe also experienced an unacceptable level of service at the hotel bar, where we waited approximately 20 minutes before being served. This is not what I would expect from a hotel of this rating.nnOn a positive note, the breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and quality.nnOverall, while the hotel has potential with its modern design, attentive upgrades for Bonvoy members, and good breakfast, the issues with parking, noise, and service at the bar left us disappointed.
