Extremely disappointing stay. We stayed on Tuesday 17th September and was awake most of the night with roads works outside. This had not been mentioned to us, I would assume because they wouldn’t want anyone to cancel. I understand this has nothing to do with the hotel and is out of their control, but some communication would have been nice. Due to this I would not stay at a Travelodge again. They also could not provide something as simple as a hair dryer.
The check in and out is seemless as always in all Travelodge hotels. Room is clean and comfy. Powerful shower, but slow drain as in most hotels of this chain for some reason. I like my mattresses hard, but in this particular Travelodge the mattress was a little too hard possibly because I was shattered the night before after a long hike. There is a good breakfast served early morning until 11 am for a reasonable price and kids eat free. Small free parking available on premises, but be aware that they close level 1 and 2 at night. I didn't know that, but thankfully there was space in the ground floor, which is usually fully packed with the customers of the nearby shops. I parked there when I came back at night. It was the last available spot. There is no road parking in front of the hotel. So, be aware of the risk. Travelodge Camberley is certainly a very good option for this area, especially if the price is right
Staff were welcoming and informative, they provided vegan milk as an alternative when asked!nnRoom was clean and bathroom was clean. The water pressure in the shower good. They have irons, ironing board, free chilled water in the cafe 24/7. Vegan options on the breakfast menu and serve food up until 9pm.nnThere is a free car park for customers with plenty of space that is only accessible for hotel customers. If you park on the 2nd floor, you can take the elevator/stairs up to 3rd and walk across the bridge straight to reception.
Very basic rooms but all we needed for our two nights. We did pay for breakfasts but decided to have lay ins without the kids so didn't get down in time to eat. Not an issue though as that was our choice. We didn't have air con and it was so hot that weekend. A fan is supplied, but it just seemed to push the hot air around the room. Beds comfortable but couldn't sleep properly because of the heat.
The staff is the best, very nice and polite. Very clean hotel throughout. Good selection of foods on the breakfast buffet. Location is more suitable for people driving here, but it is reachable without a car too. And most importantly, very affordable. Overall, very good value
