The steak restaurant and bar elevates a slightly quirky hotel to a little above average. The room costs reflect the quality of the rooms, clean and functional, but this is no luxury stay. Rooms in some parts of the hotel are prone to noise from bars beneath and adjacent rooms. Redecorated around 2015, it's now looking due for another refresh. Free CCTV protected parking and a quiet location are plus points. Ultimately this hotel is fine for an overnight stop.

Nice hotel in a very handy location. Lady on reception was very friendly. Room was nice, quiet and warm. The shower was like being caught in a very very very light rain shower. Pretty much pointless hence 4*

Awful restaurant, worse customer service. Recommend this place be avoided - our Christmas Day lunch, despite extraordinary price tag and promise of magical atmosphere, was inedible and all round miserable. Management couldn't care less. Why still under Marco Pierre White franchise? Can only guess that standards are pretty low! Please don't waste your money here.

I was attending a Ball for the British Heart foundation here. There was not enough staff on hand to cope with the 150 guests at the ball. The food was not good at all, I had a pate for a starter and it was so runny it was more like jelly. For main course I had beef, it was a 2 inch by inch bit of beef, that was trying to pass it self off as Beef Wellington. If was far from Beef Wellington. I was so disappointed with the food and service.

Very disappointing Christmas family meal. Nice location but Poor service, very poor quality food, steak badly cooked, peppercorn sauce served up half way through meal after asking for it again, turkey mains was worse than a school dinner with some burnt items and others undercooked, an inedible “Banana Mess” desert that had so much syrup in it and so few pieces of banana ( most which was black) that 6 out of 7 guests on our table left it uneaten. Coffee, which wasn’t included in price, was served cold !! In all, I suggest Mr Pierre-White goes and tries it for himself before more damage is done to his name !!
