This is an unusually large Travelodge offering the usual Travelodge experience of a decent efficient room and a smooth check-in experience. The main selling point is this hotel’s proximity to the NEC, which is easily accessible by bus. I stayed here in October 2025.
I would say you pay for what you get, but when there’s an event on at the NEC - you’re paying upwards of 100£ a night, which is quite frankly disgusting. Having to shuffle past drug users in the door ways and corridors like I mean literally smoking crack through an actual pipe in the door way to the back of the car park. Often see 3 men in balaclavas riding through the car park on a moped, I wonder what they’re looking for .nnStaff are not pleasent either. Homeless people standing outside scouring the car park for god knows what and arguing. The whole place is gross. If you have any class you will not be ok staying here, save yourself the money. Yeah, a bed is a bed - but not at the risk of being stabbed with a needle :
Easy to get to, plenty of car parking space. Rooms are basic but enough for an overnight stay. Bed comfortable. Reasonable size room - big enough for a cot. Due to location, road noise picked up significantly around 5.30/6.
Overall 2 stars - this is meant to be a refurbished Travelodge. We thought this would be to the same standards as the Premier Inn but sadly far from it. Rooms are basic, clean but with stains on floor, walls chipped, toilet that doesn’t flush. It’s okay for very basic needs but wouldn’t stay here again. Room walls are paper thin.
Room ok, clean, warm, will not be staying again due to the fact we felt very vulnerable after finding that the key to our room also opened the door from the bar to the hotel, so my understanding is that one key opens all the rooms in the hotel....as well as the door from the bar...???? Safe or not..!!!
