I haven’t been here for years but went last night with a group of friends. Everyone’s food was lovely, they have a nice selection of meals which are all home cooked. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the lady who served us was friendly and engaging. We’ll be back.
The Lamb burger was astonishing. Never ate that before but I absolutely love it. Fish & chips was huge and we really enjoyed the desserts. The only minus was the beer was flat. Big place with nice views and good choices of food and drinks.
Surrounded by lovely views and a nice well presented interior. Well priced food and good staff, the food quality was fantastic. Would go again 100%.
Service is a bit weird and there is no IPA BUT food is delicious and the local is nice. I highly recommend it!
Staying I the area for a peaceful break in the small village of Pensford, with 3 local public houses to dine at. Sadly one was bookings only and was fully booked for the evening so headed to the next nearest. Once we arrive we was devastated that they only serve food on Sunday. Hungry from a long day of activities we tried our luck and called the Travellers Rest. Success they was more than happy to meet our belly rumbles! But we had to be quick as the kitchen closes in 15 minutes we was told. So we had to be quick, I asked if we could check the menu online and call back with our order. To save time and missing out on some hot food. With in 10 minutes we arrived and received a warm and friendly welcome. We order our drink and the food following shortly after. Trio of pork sausage on a bed of mash with cabbage and perfectly cooked half carrots with onion gravy which was delicious. My better half had a creamy chicken tagliatelle which was pleasing to the eye and the pallet. A side of pizza garlic bread and I was taken back as it was amazing and full of flavour. Dog friendly and even had dog treats behind the bar. Wonderful meal and fantastic and warm service, thank you to the team at Travellers rest for going that extra mile.
I was a bit worried as the menu wasn't that big but what was on the menu was good quality very hot and fresh, throughly had a lovely evening for my mums birthday with my family. All the ladies worked very hard and were lovely. Would highly recommend you Thank-you
Really nice cosy pub, visited here after a long trail walk. The place is dog friendly and the service is great. Food portions are huge but in a good way!
What a fab meal us group of 7 had here at the weekend. Great menu choice good value for money excellent customer service. A very enjoyable couple of hours with the family will definately be going back soon. Only very small downside ladies toilets were really cold!
Amazing food, great service. A large group of 27 and everyone was very happy with food and how they were treated. Thank you all.
I have driven past this pub for over 10 years and today met a friend halfway here. Staff were lovely, the pub was busy with Christmas dinners I orderd some sharing food and it came out quickly and was very nice. Looks understated from outside but is very cosy inside. Will be heading back to try some main courses.
