A group of us went for a Sunday carvery. After having difficulty finding a place to park we were ushered to a table which was along a wall. To get to a seat we had to shuffle along on top of several chairs. To get out to for our meal everyone had to get up from their seats and let us past and vice versa when returning. The place was absolutely crammed full of tables and chairs. The meal was quite good value. On leaving one of our group overheard the owner saying that next time he will try and fit more people in. We won't be back.

""""AVOID AVOID AVOID """Great place to stay ..... if it was 1940 and free board . Parking was super tight. Food was awful , mixed grill at £19 came with cheap frying steak and a terrible sausage that must have been 2% pork . Bruschetta was untoasted bread with cold sauce and frozen mushrooms , fish and chips were from a packet . Music night consisted of the owner , a basil faulty look a like playing a keyboard which was samba demo 1 by the sounds of it . Then the main event was a thumbless accordion player with his wife shouting from the 10 strong crowd that it was "too loud dear" . Drinks , if you like tennants lager or flat coke your onto a winner . We were forced to bed straight after dinner because of the "music" and lack of drinks . Got to the room sat on the bed to remove my shoes thinking its all over ..... no !! Bed falls apart as soon as my arse touches it . Went to the loo for a no2 , and realise the door must be closed as the loo roll is screwed to it , water pressure in the taps ... no ... none. Tv was smaller than my phone and had 5 channels . Breakfast not too bad thats a small plus . Everyone else was loving it and the guest book was full of great comments it felt like we were in the twilight zone , convinced it must be us . If you think you cant go wrong at £70 think again !!! 😠
