We were given vouchers as a wedding present and were really looking forward to dining at The Bay House. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal (Silverside beef, vegetables and roast potatoes) and dessert and the portion size was generous. I ordered the Seabream, but when it came, all that was with it was salad. Rather disappointing. The staff, however, were excellent and friendly.

Overpriced and underwhelming but has a nice view. The "famous" pancake with seafood is only so in the mind of the menu writer I think. Everything is completely overpowered by cheese. The scallops in it must be the smallest in the world and the fish was, sadly, a bit dry. The veg on the side was boiled to within an inch of its life - no bite, no crunch, no taste. Struggling to understand why the internet rates this the no.1 place to eat in Stranraer. Though I have (I confess) not eaten elsewhere in the town

I had an absolutely fabulous meal on Sunday with the ladies burns club, the food and all the staff great thank you.
