1,Car park was great plenty of room 2,pub is a lovely old pub nice and warm after a long walk 3, Food not that special only beef gravy for beef ham and turkey . 4, miss match of veg Yorkshire pudding. And the meal was cold Pudding was lovely I’ve only given 3*** just for the pub and parking . More help is need with serving the food to get the food out hot No comment on the drink as we never had a drink
Lovely cosy pub, my family and I had lovely Sunday carvery,the foods were nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian food on the menu Parking: Plenty of car parking space Wheelchair accessibility: Got disabled toilet and baby's changing. Dietary restrictions: They can offer gluten free.
Absolutely fab. Visiting friends in Trefonen just had a meal. Lovely manager Robyn a credit to the pub. Xxxx
First time here i took some of my family here for a meal and all of us was very pleased with wat we hadFood: 5/5
Staying in the area and it was my birthday so decided to have a meal out. What a lovely pub and lovely people. Was a Friday night and it was busy. Was a rather large party booked in at a similar time to us but the staff were very honest that we may have to wait a while... Which we didn't mind at all. Food was superb. I was absolutely full at the end. A good selection of ale on tap. This was the only night we had a meal but had called in a couple of times before just for a drink. Would definitely go again when next in the area.

Had the Sunday carvery with my son after walking Offa's dyke. Brilliant service and food. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go back.

We recently stayed in Trefonen and ate at the barley mow every night apart from Monday’s when they’re closed We received a warm welcome every night the food was amazing every night plus the two Sunday carvery’s we had. It was good quality and plentiful. Heather the manageress was lovely and so friendly and bubbly, the two regular staff we met Luca and Luke were also lovely and after we had been going for a couple of nights we felt that we had known them all for ages, the chef was lovely sorry forgot his name We would certainly recommend The Barley Mow to any of our friends. Thank you Heather and your wonderful staff including the lovely girls at the weekend for looking after us so well we already miss you all, I know have to cook can we borrow chef please!!
Stayed in a garden lodge 4 a weekend break. Asked the man who owns it where can we get decent food he gave us this pubs information. The food was outstanding, home made chips 2. Should we visit the area again we will be stopping off at this pub
