Great place to visit for a good quality pint of real ale. Three Tuns XXX, Salopian Lemon Dream, Wye Valley Butty Bach were on offer when we visited. Had a nice sandwich too.
A popular pub in the wilds of Shropshire and understandably so. Visited with friends at peak time on Friday evening, at same time as a large group arrived. A warm welcome from the hosts. Waiting staff were lovely and took our orders. Kitchen got everyone's food out in good time to their credit given how busy they were. Great to see a menu not overcrowded with too many choices but that had something for everyone. Presentation and quality of main courses was great. Desserts were amazing and we'll be back to sample the home made pavlova again. Keep up the excellent work.
Always a top pub/restaurant, our party of six today enjoyed excellent lunch. The Gammon was amazing, served as gammon and pineapple and on top gammon and egg with all the usual additions, all the other selscted meals first class, all at very reasonable prices, service also top drawer. This has to be the best in the county for value and setting overlooking the River Severn.
Husbands Gammon was lovely, my lasagne was disappointing, not made on site, just bought in and microwaved, very dry and tasteless. I didn't pay for it and staff apologetic Lovely pint of Shropshire .
Great pub, great location ! Food always delicious, service very efficient and the Staff are happy and helpful. Dog friendly pub too
What a gem! Real home cooked food. Gammon steaks to die for. Lots of tiny rooms and a terrace on the river. Do not miss!

Amazing country pub, superb views and the food is outstanding and great value for money. Can't wait until summer to come and camp on the field by the river... Perfect.
Thursday lunch, I was pleased to see the Royal Hill was busy. Always a good sign. Good choice on the menu of above average pub grub. Very enjoyable and well priced. Z
