Delicious food and quality products. Really good service as well. The only restaurant in Wales that worth to dine in! 100% recommended it for someone who travels in Wales and don’t know where to eat good food!!
I had the BEST pork belly ever! It was juicy and crunchy and super tasty in a proper size, but still elegant. Potato mash was average, apple sauce delicious but unfortunately just two tiny drops. Online menu didn't match the printed menu on location. Originally, I wanted to order monk fish wrapped in parma ham. On arrival monk fish was just replaced with cod. Yuck - to imagine cod wrapped in parma ham. That's why I picked the pork belly what was my best accidental order - ever. Pork belly 10/10. Nice pub, but little bit too over-refurbished so it's lacking in character. Local produce says on the board. Would happily come to dine again.
Went here for the first time today for a working lunch and I had to write a review. The Braised beef & Shropshire ale pie was delicious and the veggies were seasoned to perfection. I didn't think to take a photo of it but oh my goodness yum! It was one of those meals where you can't help but make "mmm" noises. I couldn't resist the Sticky toffee pudding with Banana ice-cream and was not disappointed. To me, it tasted like and had the texture of South African Cape Brandy pudding without the brandy. I'd also like to compliment them on the music choices and the volume. Music was loud enough to create an atmosphere without interfering with conversations. The fairylights are a nice touch too. All round good experience. Also, the WiFi was strong so I managed to get my work done alongside my meal.
Lovely lunch today with my Husband celebrating his birthday. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the Hake and fillet Steak. They kindly decorated his dessert plate at short notice. We hope to visit again very soon.
Had a fantastic meal, the food was excellent, service was great, Matt the landlord made us realy welcome no hesitation in recommending the Cross Keys
Great Country Public House, very tasteful inside retaining some of the old features. Great food, excellent staff, would recommend.
Lovely food, good service. Just shame that the red wine was cold.....
