What a grrreat hardware shop, nothing is two much trouble for them. Sorted a bolt problem I had when other so called superstores didn’t have a clue. Make it your first stop hardware shop !!
The shops are hard to find but they have everything you want
Love this Hardware shop, staff so helpful, especially Tom!! We always get what we want at a good price. Much prefer the personal service than at these big soulless DIY stores.

Always good service at Tom Harris, friendly helpful staff.
Not as good as it used to be. You can no longer look around the store anymore as the have moved the counter right up by the door so It’s now feels like shopping at Argos. They never have what I am after usually lightbulbs. Stock never used to be an issue, but is seems that this is no longer the case. As others have mentioned, prices seem to have jumped right up too, so I find it’s no longer competitive at all. Sadly they have lost a customer in me.
Went in there today and the paint mix was different from the tester pot. They Didn't offer to take the missed colour paint back, offer us a different colour or even let me and the decorator in the shop together. One of us had to wait outside. Even though I had a service issue. So here I am with a £47 paint pot that is a vastly different colour to the tester pot. Great!
A little overpriced on some items.but another cheaper on others.very helpful staff.
This is a wonderful Alladins cave of a shop. It doesn't seem to matter what DIY items I need, they always have them. The Staff are knowledgeable, polite and very helpful. Whenever you need that funny little wire bit that fits with that plastic bit, they will know what you want. Over nearly 50 years, Tom Harris DIY hasn't failed us yet. Thank you
