Staff was very helpful and pleasant. I was with my 88yr old disabled father. He told me straight away that the meal was only just warm. When asked if meals where OK, I said not really, so she said she would ask the chef to do a temperature check. He said it was fine! I was asked if they could microwave them a little. With it being pretty quiet, the uncovered dishes at the front of the servery didn't have the front heater lamps on. They did bring some fresh dishes to the front. I would guess that the food temperature was no more than 60°c.
Easy to find. Good parking, the inside is nicely decorated. Plenty of space between the tables. Good atmosphere, good selection of drinks and food. The waitress were really nice and pleasant. We did have to ask the waitress to take our order and again to order drinks. We were kind of forgotten about ie she didn't come back to check on us although it was a little busy and they only had limited staff on.
Absolute chaos. Booked a table for 2 for Sunday lunch a couple of days earlier. Arrived 5 minutes early. Queues everywhere. After checking in, we, as with many others were asked to buy a drink and wait to be seated. Too many people in a small area waiting and obviously in the way of services. After waiting 20 minutes and a couple of reminders, we were seated and a waitress asked for drinks orders. We joined the large queue for carvery. Got our meal and were seated, only to realise what a pathetic set up the reception area was. We were seated opposite the entrance whose doors were constantly opened, closed, kept open for the numerous people trying to get in and kids just in and out for the fun of it. We obviously complained and asked people to close the doors which made our dining experience a trip to unbelievable discomfort. The staff gave us 25% off the bill but for pity’s sake, sack the designer because that’s the last time we’ll go back.
The home of the roast describes this place perfectly. We were seated quickly, our server Mark was great and chatted to the hole table kids included he was friendly and polite and took all our orders quickly. As for the food the carvery was spot on it was all hot juciey and full of flavour. We had to wait a short while for the kids food to arrive but when it came it was well appreciated and scoffed down quickly. Even the dodgy vegan we had with us found something they liked and had a plate full. The only down side from our visit was that we had to what what seemed like an age for our table to be cleared and to order the kids desert's. Speed that up and it's 5 stars all the way.
Poor Christmas lunch experience. On arrival asked for menu choices, had given these twice before over the phone. Starter was cold as in fridge cold, cheese sauce. Must have been meant to be warm, assume forgotten to microwave it. Hoped that would be it, main carvery was std quality, good. Dessert was ages to wait and only lukewarm. Christmas pudding was tough and tasted only of cinnamon. 3rd time we have had Christmas there. All other years it's been lovely. Such a shame but looking on the brightside I saved a few calories.
just had a carvery at Toby carvery, excellent start to finish. Booked online which I'm pleased we did as the place was packed. Took 5 mins to get cue down to sitting down. Table service by Ruby was excellent. Very friendly welcoming and no waiting from start to finish. Atmosphere brilliant every one appeared to feel how we did. Well done Toby, we'll definitely be back Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice of veg for vegetarians, also had Macaroni cheese available Kid-friendliness: Children in highchairs all deemed happy. Just remember to book a highchair when you book. Excellent Parking: Big car park. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible. Dietary restrictions: Just say what you need and they will do their best to please
Called in last night for tea with my friend, we was served by Chloe S she was an absolute delight, the service given by Chloe was more than just a friendly smile, she interacted with us and made us feel welcome. nothing was too much trouble she even talked us in to having puddings which we hadn't planned on doing I really hope Toby carvery know she's a real diamond! and very lucky to have such a people caring person as part of your team. It's hard to find people who like their work but we could tell Chloe Is happy to be there once again great food too. Thank you and we'll be back soon x
Been here twice now, and everything exceeds my expectations. Great service And servers Everyone very nice, and the food is amazing potato cooked in beef dripping, the beef is mouth watering everything cooked to perfection. What I also love the most is you can sit down and talk like your at home. Its a place like the TV programme "Cheers there always glad you came" great atmosphere. Please go have a great time. Vegetarian options: Iam not a vegetarian but they're is allot of options and vegi cravy Kid-friendliness: I don't have children myself but it's clear it's a family place Parking: Parking great access car park always available. Spaces free. Wheelchair accessibility: It's all open wheel chair access, great flow and every one very helpful. Dietary restrictions: I don't need any but I was asked if I did need any dietary requirements. So that personal bit of care matters.
It's been for ages after moving to Norfolk. Came back to have some lunch with family for my daughter's birthday. Had a great time, food was great. The exterior could do with some minor improvements. But nothing to complain about here.
Went for Sunday lunch today, took my mum who is gluten, certain vegetables and dairy free due to allergy. Was informed that only a carvery was being offered so we requested a child's portion as the only things she was able to have was meat, roast potatoes and cauliflower. Was informed she had to pay for an adult sized plate even though she only has 3 items on it. My mum is 86 years old and does not require a large plate full of the only 3 items available to her, it would of been nice to be offered a smaller portion, but the waitress said this was not possible.
