Story

When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Stoke-on-Trent's favourite carvery restaurant.

This toby is getting worse! Went for breakfast and plenty of car park spaces so not busy but no one serving then no clean tables, sausages were that pale they looked under cooked , Hash browns very pale and fell apart because they were under cooked, scrambled egg cold. Bacon over cooked one side raw on the other. Yorkshire puds rock hard, tomato juice but no tomatoes in there. Mushrooms cold and the potatoes in the onion/bacon over cooked. Funny smell around the carvery area. Then the toaster was useless 3 times through before it was cooked! Every body complaining the chap who looked like the manager said there was nothing wrong with the toaster! He could be heard by everyone as he was loud saying there was nothing wrong with the food yet everyone was saying the same thing! Won't be going again!

Excellent breakfast. Always a good selection of food to choose from. Spotless and clean and a very welcoming atmosphere. Sunday lunch superb. The staff even when very busy accommodate your every need. Fantastic team work and certainly the best place we have eaten in. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed. ☺☺☺

I have visited this place many times. I am a fan of Toby carveries. It's everything you expect from a Toby. Staff and waitress service are friendly and efficient as always. Food is plentiful and good value. It gets very busy on a Sunday so expect a wait but you can eat anywhere in bar not just restaurant. However I don't recommend the breakfasts. I only been once and food was not and great it was well understaffed and the few staff on were borderline rude. Plus drinks were very overpriced. I expect fruit juice to be included in a all you can eat brekkie Toby! So lunch and dinner top marks ... breakfast I would not bother !

Unbelievably bad service, I have never known anything like it, we will never come back here again. The place was almost entirely empty and we were utterly ignored by the staff. When I asked where our drinks were the staff member roller her eyes and said she would get them. I stood at the carvery for at least 5 minutes before anyone came out despite being passed by the manager several times. When I asked for the bill I ended up having to find someone to take my money. I am amazed at the good reviews of this establishment, I have had better service at fast food restaurants. One star is too good for this place.

Very nice and friendly they show you to your table take your drinks order by the time you've got your carvery meal your drinks are on the table...
