My friends and I dine regularly at the Toby Carvery in Borehamwood. The restaurant consistently offers a good selection of meats and vegetables, and the overall quality of the food is usually very good. However, on this occasion, the meal was only lukewarm, including the gravy, and I would have preferred it to be served hotter.nnThe location is convenient, being close to the main town centre, and it benefits from free parking shared with the adjacent Travelodge. The interior décor has been recently updated, creating a modern, cosy, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are polite and generally provide a pleasant level of service. During our recent visit, the restaurant was relatively quiet, which may explain why the food was not as hot as expected, as it appeared to have been sitting for some time between services.nnDespite this minor issue with the temperature of the food, I would still consider returning in the future.
This place has always been known as a bit of a grim place to eat. Specifically the one in bwood. Since it was renovated I thought I would give it another go for the first time in years. It’s amazing. Fresh food, a delicious variety that they never used to have. Everything was piping hot and there were a variety of options. I will definitely be going back. For the price it is remarkable. The service was relatively good but they could have been more friendly and welcoming. It’s lovely and modern inside now. I really like the place
The service was excellent despite being very busy. Natalie was our server and she was very accommodating of my friend who is visually impared. The kitchen team were also under duress but served with a smile. Overall fantastic experience.
My father and Nan came for dinner last night, and as always, the food was absolutely lovely. My Nan can be quite anxious and easily overwhelmed, but the care and kindness she received made such a difference. Her waitress, Natalie as shown on the receipt, was amazing — she gently walked my Nan to the food deck, helped serve her meal, and supported her back to the table with such patience and compassion. It meant so much to us. A massive thank you to Natalie and the whole team for going above and beyond — we’ll definitely be returning!
We came on a very busy sunday afternoon, but was still seated quickly and checked on regularly by Liv.nI'm very impressed with how fast she was in making sure all the tables in her designated area were happy at all times! Absolutely wonderful young lady. Thank you for making our meal time run so smoothly.
