We were greeted at the door by the manager who is absolutely lovely. We were taken to our table- a booth as requested as easier with the kids. The service at the carvery while we were getting our food was great the chefs were so cheerful and helpful. The whole experience was great and much better than previous visits! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are great! Kid-friendliness: Staff were really friendly to our 3 under 6s Parking: Easy to park
We took a party of 15 for a Saturday evening birthday celebration, enjoying the carvery and some big delicious old-school deserts to follow. The food was excellent, four meats, a wide selection of perfectly cooked veg, whilst the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Overall it was a great experience at a remarkably good price and we would highly recommend this venue to others.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good too. My only small gripe was that the vegetables were a little over done for my taste, possibly a result of them being out too long? Otherwise, good value and very good portions.Food: 4/5
Fortunate to park free in carpark on busy Sunday lunchtime. Booked on-line 1 hour before. Only short queue at carvery. As a vegetarian there was good selection of food. Use tissue to hold hot serving spoons, as usual at all Toby's. Sprouts needed 5 minutes more. Vegetarian options: Out of 5 Tobys visited, 4th place. The server did not offer to reassure if any servings were vegetarian or vegan, oil used if roast potatos were cooked in meat juices, cows milk, etc. Also vicinity of meat and veg at carvery had risk of cross-contamination of serving spoons. Square veg plate from under shelf was not hot but warmer than other Toby's.
Been a very long time since I last ate there. I would love to see more fish choices and vegetarian choices on the menu. Nice bar though. I came about four or five years ago for a family celebration
This was my first experience of eating out on Christmas day but was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. It took 45 minutes past our booked time to be seated. When initially told our table wasn't ready and I asked how long the wait was I was told they didn't know. After asking several times what was happening we were finally seated. We had to skip starters as we had to be gone by half 6. We ordered our food which for the people eating salmon this was completely burnt. The choice of veg was even less than a normal toby carvery. The veg there was soggy. The table just had some crackers thrown on it, at £60 a head I expected some more effort. The whole experience was disappointing and I won't be returning
Has got to have been my worst experience at any one of Toby's restaurants. The veg and sticky toffee was of poor quality, with no complaints on the meat. Our waitress was friendly and attentive unlike the person who took us to our table. If it was my first Toby experience I probably wouldn't return.Food: 2/5
Super Breakfast buffet. Even had Yorkshire puddings for the night shift workers who fancies a bit of dinner! Had a super breakfast time. Staff were brilliant and food was good, will return next time I'm down that way. It opens at 9.00am
There were flies buzzing about in the winter months I would understand if it was the summer and it was very off putting so we had asked to move and when we were moved it didn’t help as flies were in other area. We were seated else where when requested but it seemed as though the team were under a lot of pressure and we were waiting a long period of time for a waitress after ordering drinks.
Visited Toby in Redhill for a birthday celebration. The staff are amazing and lovely. What let it down was the food. There was no meat and the bits that were left were dried up and really shouldn't have been left there. The prawn cocktail starters seemed to be made by a six Yr old. But it was all the veg too! Absolutely dried up mush. The cabbage looked like Chinese seaweed it was so dry. Cauliflower was mush. It was an absolute disgrace. Won't be going again.
