Popped in for lunch a week ago and loved the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was tasty, the service was good and the Christmas vibe around the pub was lovely to see. They had a good selection of food and drinks to choose from. The pub is a lovely size with plenty of seating, with a large garden too which is ideal for the summer time. It's within walking distance from the station which is really handy. Worth visiting if you are in the area. RM x
Really loved the atmosphere and vibe of this lovely little pub! Staff were really friendly. Lovely garden as well. Food and drinks were superb definitely recommend the sea trout and the desserts!. It’s a bit on the pricier side but that’s not a negative. Definitely will be coming back to this gem
I loved this place it has space. Choice with drinks. What can i say great atmosphere inside outside too. I have eaten at a lots of so called pub restaurants. I found the roast shank of lamb amazing. Home cottage is a cut above most of the places I have visited. The staff are very helpful. What more can I say but thank you for a lovely mother's day..
Large pub with plenty of outside space. Food was reasonably good. Excellent chips but portion of fish was dissapointly small. Staff helpful and efficient. It lost a 4 star rating because lack of parking. Further to the pubs reply: I understand street parking is not the pub's responsibility. I saw another customer had a large piece of fish, that's why I ordered it, so the small piece was a surprise. Ian
We had our Christmas party at the Home co Cottage the other night and couldn't be happier! Food was lovely not a dry piece of turkey in sight service was excellent and of course the atmosphere in this pub is wonderful in general. Beautiful place and we all had a great time. Good selection of beers& ciders as well and a few interesting cocktails! Would definitely go again.
The waitress infectious joyfulness is a massive asset to this business. No query was too small; she answered questions, service with a smile, and made our whole dining experience an absolute pleasure. She had only been working here 4 days but was completely a natural.
Food is tasty albeit a bit pricey, the Pecan tart was disappointing unfortunately. We waited over 15 minutes for two soft drinks and a gin and tonic, turns out they were sitting on the bar waiting, when they came we were told the ticket said a single gin, despite us ordering a double. Staff weren't very apologetic and we felt as though we were being judged/laughed at for querying it. Overall a nice meal just a shame about some aspects of the service.
For drinks and food after work this is a very good choice! Nice vibe in the air, good atmosphere and great food. On the toilet you can pee and puke at the same time
It was awesome. We had a great time. Good food, great service, and dog friendly. Clean and comfortable. What more could you want?
First time visiting after refurb, looks better for sure but unfortunately we are asked as a customer to pay for it, £15 for just a veg burger for example.
