Just had one of the best breakfasts I have ever had ever here! Lovely décor, loved the rustic feel. A fantastic selection of vegan food on the menu. Alsorts of wonderful looking cakes at the counter! Great amenities, for disabled and children. The lady with beautiful hair that served us was very friendly and chatty. Can't wait to come back here already!
We ate here a few times while staying at the campsite. The wood fired pizzas were incredible. The management clearly cares about the quality of the food and the service they provide. The staff were cheerful and helpful despite being very busy. Great beer selection. Also amazing coffee and pastries, possibly the best takeaway coffee I've ever had. Worth a visit just for that!
Happened to find this as we were looking for a cup of tea while passing Stroud, glad we made the detour. Cafe set in a campsite with amazing views, impressive wood construction. Crispy bacon and egg roll with a soft floury bap, 10/10. Looks like a nice campsite too.
Went to Caper today as I'd heard good stuff from when they were at thistledown. The food was pretty good nothing super special, but good, and the coffee was excellent. The biggest problem I had though was the venue. Whilst I appreciate that it's quite small there was zero organisation and the place was chaotic. If you wanted a table you basically had to hover around someone who looked like they were nearly finished, then jump on it before the group next to you did the same thing....! I get that bookings are probably not the most suitable thing for here, but someone managing the queue on the door, then optimally seating people would massively increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. I genuinely could imagine a fight happening with the current system. Staff seemed friendly and service was pretty quick once you ordered. FYI the photos that you see most prominently on Google maps are not representative of the new venue.
Delicious food and great variety of vegetarian meals. Staff is very nice and helpful and the place is dog friendly! We will definitely come back here. They have also Friday evening pizza!
Amazing location and the camping areas are well maintained. It's great for camping in groups. They care about the environment and limit over booking so your experience is very comfortable and beautiful. The cafe is outstanding. They offer vegan options. Booking the cafe is highly recommended.
Great location, especially if you sit outside. We visited for tea and cakes, and the cakes were the nicest I have had, the pictures don’t do them justice. We watched the chefs prepare the meals and wished we hadn’t eaten lunch before arriving. We will certainly go back for lunch very soon.
Great place to visit with kids as there's plenty of space for them to unwind. Be aware that the pizza restaurant can get seriously booked up, so if you think you want to try this, make sure you book. Also, there can be a bit of a queue for washing facilities. Beautiful location though!
I think this place is trying to attract a certain sort of customer, well off and a bit alternative, which is fine but sadly not me. Lovely location, good quality locally sourced food but that doesn't mean it has to be all like that. There would be nothing wrong with putting free range ham, eggs and chips and simple things like that on the menu as well? Hope they survive the competition.
Great to see that sensational food is available once again at the new locations. An outstanding lunch and great people. Parking: Big car park
