My daughter and I had lunch at The Plot and were very impressed. We both had delicious flat whites, the soup was really tasty while the smoked salmon sandwiches were sensational!
Unfortunately we had a very sad experience in Three Storeys Cafe today. We were asked to leave because one of the babies in our group was crying. As a new mum it is hard enough just to leave the house without being told that you are unwelcome in a place that markets itself as a friendly community space. We were doing anything and everything to help comfort the baby, the mum was obviously stressed, anxious and trying to feed at the time we were told to leave. I am incredibly disappointed in the approach by the staff member we encountered.
Excellent, friendly service - nothing was too much trouble. Coffee good, cakes all exceptionally good. Would recommend as great place for a cake and cuppa in Nailsworth.
I like the space and the gallery, the staff are sweet and the coffee ok, but here's another local business that refuses real money. There are occasions when folks need or want to pay in cash, and it's annoying and embarrassing when you're told your money isn't welcome! It's a form of social engineering and elitism that I regret is becoming quite pervasive.
