The security guard is always on the phone arguing with someone, there is little mental health literacy. A practitioner asked if a suicidal person was feeling suicidal without introducing himself or conducting an ice breaker. They treat patients like animals and not humans with cognitive understanding. Would not recommend at all - will deteriorate your mental health instead of helping
Not much help is offered although the counsellor psychologist is wonderful and very professional and willing to help. The reception staff are also amazing, always deal things in a polite manner and quick to call back. The downside is I keep telling them that I have adhd that is causing my depression and need help for, nothing makes sense in my care plan. I feel neglected and not heard. The duty worker/nurse are amazing and very professional in helping. Sometimes someone calls back but there’s also been other times when no one called me back. I feel like there’s limited help on the NHS so if you feel as if you’re not being helped, you can go to your GP also there are many other mental health organisations you can contact. You can call MIND, that is a great service. Overall, I understand there is limited help due to the NHS funding scheme. I’m not getting the help I need but the help that I have received from them there has also been good days. There’s an organisation you can contact called Anawim who run mental health courses that help build your skills and they also offer coping mechanisms and tools that help manage your mental health.
Anyone who has had a diagnosis or referred to this place for a mental health check during 2020/2021 to go and get a second opinion from somewhere else. They have done nothing for me other than basically label me as a drug user i smoke cannabis told me to refrain from its use and kicked me out the door, and all will be well. Now, in 2023, after going through unnecessary homelessness, self-destructive coping mechanisms, and intermixed turmoil as a result. it turns out, i was autistic trying to deal with an alcoholic family member at the time. So i thank the two useless bints i saw that unfaithful day for absolutely nothing. When i get hold of their names, i will surely post them on here so i can do my bit in helping people avoid those job worths.
If I can rate it zero I would. Worst place I’ve ever been to. I wasn’t listened to properly, I kept being interrupted by the psychiatrist. I felt so uncomfortable and felt so anxious. I tried to speak how my symptoms were and he wrote it half way. I told him about all my multiple traumas and everything and then at the end. Didn’t even give me a diagnosis and just gave me a paper with another place to contact. And you wonder why people barely ask for help. Because it’s cuz of people like that, that aren’t properly trained to be doctors.nnAll I got from that was wasted 90 mins of my work time. All I felt was regret going to the damn place.
