How did the practice rate as outstanding? The reception people today 21.12.23 question why a patient might forget to order their repeat prescription and then proceed to what is a priority drug, this person is not a clinician and is the face of the practice, this is not what patients want or expect yet these people remain at the practice!
So today I rang the doctors and usually treated with respect and the ask of condition of why I’m needed an appointment. I haven’t booked one in over 3 years and only call if it’s something urgent. I got my call answered by the rudest member of the public I’ve ever spoken to and said I would have to call at 8:30 and they don’t even take pre bookings or emergency booking anymore. I’ve always had respect for the people on the phones as the job must be so stressful but the way they spoke to me this morning is completely out of order and I would not recommend anyone to go or sign up to this doctors. What a shame! It use to be so helpful and even if they said ring back up tomorrow in an understanding voice it would have been fine but the attitude was out of order. I will be moving doctors after being with them 12 years.
If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Akbar Aleem is by far the worst "doctor" I have ever encountered, so arrogant and unprofessional. I went to talk about my mental health and left the office feeling worse than I already was. He was so rude, condescending, un-empathetic, and invalidated everything I was going through. He kept making sarcastic digs at me, making it out as if I was a liar or it was my fault I was struggling. I have never experienced a doctor humiliating and disrespecting me like this. It's truly shocking that people like him are allowed to practice! I have been unhappy with this surgery for years, but this experience was the final straw and I will be switching GPs immediately.
I have been with this surgery since January of this year and we now in September but my records are still not over from my old surgery. Everytime I go in the reception says it takes a while. I very vulnerable person and if I even get an appointment, will they have any records of my health issues? The booking system a joke, even when I get my repeat prescription it is asking for a review before I can get.more, went reception last week and some asain girl, tall said you be able to book online, no option. When it comes to GP surgeries, I think this is one of the better ones. I had a rather urgent health issue that was dealt promptly by Dr Akber Aleem. He is. Kind and compassionate doctor who supported me through a very complex health issue. Thank you
Have been with this practice since 1985, when it was a small well run practice, with the same GPs for years. Getting an appointment was never an issue. These days it has become far too big, and is poorly managed. You can never build a relationship with your GP, because they constantly change and you have little or no say in who you get to see. That is, of course IF you can get an appointment in the first place. They have the most ridiculous appointment system ever. It has become, 'fastest fingers first'. Usually, appointments are gone in seconds. It's bad enough, if you are relatively computer literate, God knows how an elderly patient with little or no understanding about computers gets on? They seriously need to get their act together. This smacks of badly managed NHS trusts.
First time visiting, took me 5 days to even get an appointment, the online booking system was a joke, booked me in for an appointment time that wasn’t even available? Then had to wait on the telephone in a queue to see what was going on with the booking. Waited 1 hour 15 mins after my scheduled appointment to even be seen, no apologies for making me wait, the amount of complaints I heard from people to the receptionists for a variety of issues was ridiculous. The receptionists were unfriendly and didn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Terrible reception staff, so rude. They all came across like a pack of hyenas ganging up on a patient who wanted to make a complaint. I was so uncomfortable. I'll be asking my wife to switch GPs
Can never get an appointment. Last appointment I turned up and they had no record even though I had an email of it. Had to book day off work. This place is terrible may as well not advertise itself as a doctors as you can’t see one
Dr Vadhia exceptionally RUDE! Came out to see my terminally ill father today… she was sooooo rude and up herself, she even ‘SLAMMED’ my dad’s door shut on leaving his home!!! OMG!!!!! What a Doc!! Shocking
