I am very much happy and appreciative to be a patient at Jacey Practice. Over the many years of being a patient with them they have been consistently great each and every time I’ve had an appointment. All of the doctors I’ve encountered have been equally friendly, attentive and patient, and I’ve always walked away feeling content and reassured. I highly recommend Jacey Practice.
Earlier in the year I gave a one star, was very disheartened, with lack of help, I know the surgery under strain, they all are, sadly when you can’t get help you can only go on your own experience for lack of care at that time. Since my husband has come home from hospital, the staff have tried hard to accommodate our needs as husband is housebound from stroke, I still have difficulty getting through on phone to get prescriptions done for us as can’t leave him alone for long, to post or get in queue in reception to speak to get repeats done, it can still be difficult but I have changed my rating to higher stars as I know the practice can only do what they can with resources they are given. Hope can give a 5 star to the practice sooner rather than later.
Trying to get an appointment for almost 2months. Everytime I ring at 8am the message says no appointments available call centre at capacity.. Where do you go when appointments are not available after waiting for months..No wonder people are ending up in A and E. Very disappointed and angry..
1st class service from what is an extremely busy surgery.Seen same day ,appointment on time and really professional doctor.Impressed considering the pressure that all the staff must be under in these hard times.
Since covid, the practice has had a bad rap. I expected to have a terrible experience like others. Today I contacted them due to a chest infection and they couldn’t have been more efficient!! I called the SHP number at 8.00am, being the 6th caller I was surprised my call was answered within 2 mins. I reported my symptoms and they were able to book me into Jacey my local practice for a telephone appointment between 9am-11am. The doctor called at 11am and was very efficient and very helpful and I got the medication I needed within the hour. It was a 10/10 experience and hopefully that’ll remain so for the future!
The whole thing is not fit for purpose if you phone you start off at 56th in the queue so I gave up after an hour I go down to surgery and they tell me there is only one appointment in two weeks and I couldn’t be there for then The Receptionist never mentioned that I could make a telephone appointment for the same time so I had to queue again to ask and also I don’t know if I have lived in a dark room for the last how long but I didn’t know you could phone in the morning and get an appointment same day Nobody told me that one I give up
It has become near impossible to reach anyone to either book an appointment or get a repeat prescription. In the space of 5 days I have tried on 4 separate occasions to call the GP surgery to book an appointment, unfortunately you are now unable to even hold albeit in the past it may have meant waiting for 30-40minutes at a time to get through, instead now you are simply cut off, after being told the lines are busy. I have tried to set up online access, but having filled out details a week or so ago, I still am unable to access online bookings or prescriptions. Hence have reverted to calling the surgery again! I fully understand the requirements around COVID 19 and protecting patients and staff, but the fact that we can't access basic health support from our GP surgery is failing patients. This is a real shame as the provision of care itself is good, if only you could access it!
My husband has been very unwell for seven months. The quality of care we have received from the practice has been outstanding. I have frequently needed to speak to one of the doctors, and have never had to wait hours for a return call, or been made to feel as if the conversation was rushed. We have been given appointments whenever they were needed, and the doctors have been brilliant at coordinating and reviewing all the various test results from multiple hospital departments. Truly exceptional care, and at a time which has been very stressful, very much appreciated by both of us. Thank you
This was once an outstanding practice, both the main location and the site at Dickens Heath. I even regard their previous quality of care as having saved my life in 2019. However, months into the pandemic it is still impossible to contact a GP or even speak to a receptionist. The telephone system is always "at capacity" and hence it is not even possible to leave a message. I am extremely fortunate that I have BUPA cover for non-primary care. I do realise that I am in a very small minority and fail to understand how primary NHS care has deteriorated to this level so quickly. I feel so sorry, especially for the elderly who must be totally bemused by the current standard lack of care. There is nothing as residents of Solihull we can do, I am sure I speak for us all when I say that we feel totally powerless and left vulnerable.
I have had no problem with Jacey practice.I had an excellent service and the doctor took his time to go through everything with me. A very good doctor
