Absolutely diabolical!! Absolutely impossible to get an appointment. Have been ringing up since 7.50 to try and get an appointment and no answer at all. I have got through once and someone put the phone down on me!! The doctor is amazing which is why I'm putting 3 stars but the reception staff need to up there game

not very at all im a diabectic type 2 on metaformin 2000mg ive recently took myself off as was upsetting tummy tried others glipizide sitagliptin allready been on canagliflozin for a year got took of them as now im stuck with water infections so now i got supscribed metaformin slow release with omeprazole i lasted 3 days pains and didnt make it to the toilet got referred to a diabectic nurse at heartfields waited 4 weeks for the appoitment only to be refered again to hartlepool general so thats 4 weeks without any diabectic medication at all heartfields nurse said take 1 metaformin a day till i get my appoitment from the general bearing in mind metaforn is the stuff that upsets my tummy in the first place is nobody listening to me at all

The doctor only works 3 days a week but he is fantastic and has helped me more in a year than my last doctor helped me in 40 years. Also it's actually possible to get an appointment! On the days he's not there the nurse and nurse practitioner are available.
