The food is amazing. The carvery has a wide selection of food like meat and veg. There is also a great selection of kids food like chicken nuggets and chips. The festive meals have there own spectacular menu with loads to choose from. There are about 8 different puddings to choose from. I highly recommend going here because of all the above. There is a accessible disabled entrance and car park. There is about 30 car park spaces and it is not usually full.
Nice place, good food, pleasant. Nothing over the top, but good prices and good food.
amazing place, quite good quality and huge portions
Sunday lunch for 4 from the carvery. Great choice of meats with unlimited veg/trimmings. Food is well presented, hot and tasty. Lovely relaxed dining; the staff welcoming and attentive. The whole experience came to less than £50, and that included drinks and two desserts. Highly recommended for fuss-free, affordable dining.
Really nice place, enjoyed mother's Day here
Absolutely wonderful in every way. We went for breakfast with our 3 year old boy and Santa was there. What a lovely guy he was too, our little boy got a special visit and a present too. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant too. Looking forward to going again soon!
***Update to the former 5 star review below*** Sadly this place is not what it was, favourite desserts like bread & butter pudding & banana split have been culled as have most of the vegetarian / vegan options, no more half chicken option either, we may stop coming now as choice is minimal. Original review: Unpretentious local favourite with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I agree with other reviewers that the staff are very pleasant and make every visit a good experience, nothing is too much trouble and special requests are accepted without resentment The food is plentiful and very good value. I like that there are at least a few vegetarian options with carvery sides /veg included, and also the wide choice of desserts. Try the banana split, so underrepresented in this day and age! :
We dine here often and really enjoy the food. Went yesterday on a Sunday for the first time, and there were no tables, the places was extremely busy like I've never seen it. We were promised a table in 10 minutes, however, we found a quieter area of the place within 5 minutes. Just wanted to say how impressed I was with how the team worked under pressure, still smiling, still helpful and the onion gravy was still to die for. Thank you.
The staff are normally very friendly and pleasant unfortunately we have just been served around 5.30 11 August by a young girl with blond hair no glasses who needs to learn social skills. She was serving us on table 21 and walked past with my daughters dessert she said it said table 10 and I said no 21 she slammed my daughters dessert in front of her and threw the spoon on the table which was disgusting behaviour as we were okay and smiling unfortunately we didn't get her name we all have off days but she was just plain rude. food was good as always
I've been three times and the food has been good and tasty, however a couple of hours after all three visits I've been violently ill! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! I thought it was a coincidence the second time but the third time? Absolutely not. Proceed with caution. I've heard similar happening to others too!Service: 2/5
