Friendly staff and very good food, Make sure you pre book a table as it's very busy on peak evenings for the obvious reason, Car park is small but always manage to find a space, The garden is really relaxing in the summer Perfect pit stop for runners,Bikers,Cyclists,Dog walkers 👍

I've never had a bad experience here. Every time I visit I've had a warm welcome and the ales have always been good. Both times I've eaten here recently have been brilliant. Lovely venue, atmosphere and service.

What a disappointment. Chicken supreme £16 - nice chicken in good sauce, but only with boiled potatoes in butter and herbs, no other vegetables. One tonic water £2.50, one pint of cider £4.50! We declined a sweet as all £6.00. Fancy decor, food dished up on black plates, noticed the fish was dished up on a board (can never understand this fad). Total bill £39 - should have gone in to local butcher, greengrocer, and bought some fillet steak and nice fresh veg. Did buy some fresh strawberries on the way home. A treat for teatime! While on hols in Madeira three weeks ago never had a bad meal, and always a reasonable price. Time our restaurants came up with the goods.
