From what I remember staff were very friendly and brown ale was delicious.
Go in ,give it a try ,its clean,welcoming and cheap as chips for a drink ,its much better since it was taken over ,I visit this place regular ,bingo on a Monday is very popular ,pool teams in on a Wednesday, and ladies darts , it can get really busy ,other times it can be quiet, but not every one in gateshead wants a heaving place to drink ,I'd rather get a drink in a few minutes than fright my way to the bar through people . Owners have a couple of other places too , they are nice places too.
Gateshead high St pub well used good beer good clientele I know the landlords!!! Alan and Steve local lads so expect a bit of banter good stuff!!
A lot better than the time I was there before. Clean and tidy and good staff beer drinkable.
New owners amazing very friendly and welcoming great pint and staff isn't to be sniffed at either
