Loved this pub. Really old building absolutely full of character. Excellent beer selection and a ridiculous number of ciders available. Very friendly and helpful bar man. Loads of character and a great place to have a few afternoon beers. Will definitely be back here soon.Service: 5/5
What a cracker of a pub. Really old building with tonnes of character. Very friendly and chatty bar man who told us about the building including the ghost. Great beer choice available too. Loved this place, will definitely be coming back.Service: 5/5
Found this pub while looking for real ciders in Newcastle, glad I found it. They had 5 flat ciders on, some I’ve never had before. Unique building lots to look at, will be back again when in Toon.Food: 5/5
Service was slow tonight as new staff training. Great music and atmosphere, though, as per usual.Service: 3/5

This is one of the 4 bars/pubs in the railway bridge quarter. It has a few events on but not as many as Central/Microbus. I'd say it is the weakest of the four but still good. There is a variety of very nice beers both keg and cask. The pub is split between a historic under rail section this can get quite damp in rainy weather be warned and a more modern almost bar-esque area which can feel like a cafe in the upper section. Making the whole place feel slightly disjointed
Friendly pub, nice beers and an interesting building. Worth checking out if you're in the area.
Kid free we decided to pop into central bar, we saw this on the way out and popped in for one. Pretty quaint little place I liked it, had a dungeon room and unique feel to the place, would go back for sure. Nice welcome, good drinks on tap.
This is a really interesting pub. I went in at the beginning of the month on recommendation and wasn't dissappointed. Part of the pub is under the railway and has been renovated to make it look like it is still old even has under floor heating installed, but doesn;t look like it. Most importantly is the quality of the beer and the service. The manager, Steppy, knows his stuff. He even gave me a run down of what beer was settling in the cellar as well as a bit of local history. I didn't have food here so I can't rate or comment on that. I will be calling back.
