Excellent service and staff. Lovely large beer garden with inflatables for kids in good weather, but youngsters must be supervised, especially with the fish pond. Sunday lunch is great and the cauliflower cheese is a must try. Well worth the travel from Worcester for me & my family.

Excellent meal. Having never been to Shrewsbury before we were unsure of where to eat. We made a good choice with the White Lion. The barmaid made us feel welcome, brought our drinks to us with the menus and was chatty and friendly. My wife's mixed grill was cooked very well with her steak done just as asked for (medium rare). My homemade 8oz beefsteak burger was delicious, not at all dry, my accompanying coleslaw was also homemade and deliciously creamy and not coarse cut. Very filling and satisfying. If ever in the area again would definitely return

Outstanding food, service and price. Very short wait between courses. The staff were friendly polite and very helpful nothing was any trouble. That impressed we booked a table for Sunday lunch tomorrow.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and fantastic beer. Mixed grill was beyond expectations and the liver for something else. Thanks again

The service was good and so was the food. There is a very large seating area and I had no trouble finding a table
