Story

Hereford city's boutique, family-owned hotel with 24 luxury bedrooms, 8 of which are in a beautiful Georgian townhouse called Number 25 just yards from the main hotel. The hotel has a beautiful terraced garden which leads down to the old Hereford Castle moat, and is perfect for al fresco dining. The hotel is the perfect place to base yourself when visiting Herefordshire.

Our visit to Castle House Hotel for breakfast was an absolute delight. We enjoyed a traditional English breakfast, complemented by perfectly brewed coffee. The serene atmosphere and picturesque views added a special charm to the experience. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel warmly welcomed. It's the perfect spot to start your day with delicious food and a touch of English elegance.
Myself and family had a high tea today. We had heard such good reviews off friends but sadly feel disappointed. The service was very slow, the platters were very inconsistent, some savouries appeared to be missed off several platters. On the one shared between myself and husband we had one small piece of quiche, do we have one bite then hand it over. Our son and daughters had no mushroom trufflesnWe didn’t complain as we didn’t want to cause unease for the rest of our family. We had to ask for more drinks which also took a long time to be delivered as did the scones. Such a shame as I had booked it for a special birthday celebration .
We booked a standard double and found ourselves in the King Charles suite. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The dining room and the terrace overlook the old castle most. Watch out for the kingfisher flashing blue over the water.
Very happy with the stay. One of my best stays overall in UK. Cosy room, clean bathroom, delicious snack basket, and amazing staff. The breakfast was quite amazing - with only a la carte menu - super delicious.
We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The hotel is very well located in the city and on the river, with stunning rooms and really helpful staff. The breakfasts were excellent as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.
