Story

Our hotel is conveniently located in the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley in the English Cotswolds.

The White Hart Royal Hotel was once a coaching inn. Its reputation was enhanced when King Charles I sheltered in the inn following the battle of Marston Moor on 2nd July 1644. A copy of the King's unpaid bill is commemorated on a plaque within the entrance lobby.

We popped in to have an evening meal after reading the reviews online and was not disappointed. A carafe of cold water was delivered to the table without having to ask. Drinks order taken straight away. After looking at the menu, i I chose the pie of the day pork in creamy mustard sauce. My husband chose the liver. The food when it came was obviously cooked to order, which meant a little wait, but happy with that. Both dishes were delicious. My only disappointment was that I was so full I did not get to try a pudding. On top of that, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back on our next visit to this area.
We had an excellent evening meal here ..The service was excellent, our drinks order was taken straight away and I had a delicious pint of Hook Norton bitter.nOur food order was taken and when it arrived the Pan fried sea bass was absolutely delicious and my wife's gammon and duck egg was also delicious. The service throughout the evening was friendly, professionally and the staff were very smart.nThe toilets were very clean and five star.nWe will definitely eat here again
We went for a meal Saturday evening but booked the wrong night . It was not a problem they accommodated, even placing all four off us in a window seat. The food and service were excellent . It was a truly smashing evening. Thank you for all their help and a lovely venue. We will be back definitely.
Went for a meal to celebrate a birthday, lovely meal, not a huge choice but a good variety. Finn our waiter was lovely, great interaction with us. Food seemed a bit slow to come out but we all enjoyed it.nOur friends birthday was made extra special with a treat brought out and a free main and pudding for him.
Nice small bar area with the usual tap beers and a couple of real ales available. Stone floors and a good selection of furniture. Staff were friendly and polite. Beer wasn't to my taste. Nice and relaxing visit.
