I've traveled to 47 countries so far, and this is the one hotel that has stood out to me the most. Not only is the property beautiful, and fully renovated, but it is beyond comfortable and accommodating. It has a restaurant, bar, library, courtyard, and rooms for events - I truly was blown away by this property; it felt like coming home every day after a long day of exploring the Cotswolds. The rooms were spacious, beautifully and interestingly decorated with helpful amenities, and again, incredibly comfortable. The cherry on top I would have to say was the staff; everyone I had the pleasure of speaking with was an absolute delight, helpful, and friendly. The staff was absolutely stellar! I actually left a pair of shoes in my room upon check out, and someone from the front desk RAN to the train station to give them to me before my train. THANK YOU! I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and courtesy throughout my stay. On top of that, they have the best cappuccinos I had in that whole town, maybe even that whole area. Breakfast was SUPERB! Staying at this beautiful hotel was definitely a highlight, thank you again to the staff!nnBest,nSusana and Elizabeth
Beautiful Cotswolds hotel in a beautiful setting. Stayed here to celebrate with our family my husband’s birthday. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, which made my husband’s birthday celebration absolutely Fabulous. A big thank you to all the staff. We’d love to visit again soon.
A pleasure to return to the Manor House hotel. From beginning to end the staff were superb. Friendly helpful and giving helpful advice. From the minute we arrived, on reception Mary with her big smile along with guest relations Leo and Ryan all deserve a special mention for going above and beyond carrying out their duties. Food at breakfast and dinner was top notch a wonderful choice on.both menus cooked perfectly. Highly recommended and we shall look forward to our next stay. Thank you all.
Wonderful greeting from Mary on reception. Our second visit in the past five months. All the staff are very friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Food and drinks very nice with a good selection throughout. A special mention for three members of staff who went above and beyond. As mentioned Mary on reception secondly the guest relations members Leo and Ryan who excelled making us feel most welcome. These three would grace any establishment. Highly recommended
I have been waiting for the hotel to reply to my emails, it’s been over a month and they still haven’t. Maybe if I post my email here they will reply.nnWe arrived at the Manor House Hotel at around 18:00 to a cold room as the radiator was not working.nThe receptionist said he would take care of it, and he installed a portable oil radiator, which did the job and kept the room warm.nnWhen we returned to the room after dinner, we went in to have a shower; however, the water was only enough for one. My husband found himself standing in the bath, with soap on his body, but he was not able to rinse it off.nNow, I am not saying there was no hot water, I am saying there was no water at ll. We turned the taps and nothing came out. He had to wait for almost 5 minutes before the water came back.nnThis happened again the following evening, and I found myself not able to complete a simple shower.nThe following morning was even worse.nI had to complete brushing my teeth with a bottle of the mineral water we found in the room, as the water supply decided to shut down just when it was time to prepare for breakfast.nnI do not need to explain how awkward and unpleasant it was, not being able to wash properly and more so, flush the chain in the morning.nnJust when we thought it couldn't get any worse, we came down for breakfast. While we were waiting to place an order, we realized the water pipes were not the only thing out of date. The toast that was served to us was full of mold I took a picture just in case you need proof. I showed it to the waitress. We explained that we were skipping the hotel's breakfast and would go and find a local cafe.nnWe checked out, and the receptionist shared with us that thankfully the hotel will be refurbished so these things will not happen again. It's a shame that the hotel management decided to accommodate the room which was clearly not suitable for accommodation, and for what? for 400 pounds?nnMy husband and I haven't been on a break or a weekend for more than 3 years and unfortunately, The Manor House Hotel managed to ruin it for us.
