About

A beautifully restored village pub and stunning 'year round' garden serving great two great menus (gastro-pub and pizzeria) at lunch and evenings

Story

The White Hart is a very old village pub that has been through many incarnations over many, many years.

In 2013 it closed for what many felt would be the last time. It remained derelict and neglected for two years during which time the village community of Weston in Gordano worked hard to save it.

Ultimately the village achieved a successful outcome when the pub underwent a massive re-build and renovation over the summer months of 2015.

It is now simultaneously a village pub and a destination venue the likes of which exists nowhere else in the area.

Menus are good pub & restaurant food alongside a notable pizzeria menu.

The garden has been described as 'jaw dropping'.

With shop and private dining available too, The White Hart is looking to the future with some optimism.

Horrible. Upon entering repulsive strong smell of skunk from one or more of the customers, I'm pretty sure the bar staff know the problem customers responsible yet probably won't bar them. Added to that not much choice of beers compared to other pubs in the vicinity and the Dry Blackthorn I had was flatter than a Swiss lawyers sense of humour. Only plus to this place is its next to the bus station if you're going anywhere. If you must have a drink whilst waiting for a bus or coach do yourself a favour and go in the Bay Horse over the road. Better on every measurable level.
Great bar. We came after an awful day when our visas were refused. Food was good, service great. We participated in the quiz, came second- no shame. Would return if we were in the area.
Don't ever go into this pub. The landlord thinks that he's some kind of pony tailed hard case who should be in a psychiatric unit not running a pub. The 3 regulars that were already there were also threatening as if the landlord would turn a blind eye to their conduct. STAY AWAY. Go over the road to the Bay Horse. Dougie must be turning in his grave the landlord 35 years ago.
Great public house. Conveniently located in the City Centre. A warm welcome from the staff and very competitive prices on their fantastic selection of drinks. Makers Mark was less than half the price of the hotel I was staying at. Highly recommended.
Nice food. 0rdered 3 sets for dinner for £21. Value for money. Good portion. Cosy interior. Nice n polite guy who served us food.
Visited for a few drinks and something to eat. Very quaint ye olde pub. Good service and food was very reasonable hot and tasty. Try the pickled eggs..we had the chilli and cider ones...great flavours especially the chilli egg ! Will visit again for sure.
Nice friendly boozer, just off the beaten track. Friendly bar staff and the locals were welcoming
Nice pub, friendly bar staff and no hippy students in there.
I haven't been here for many a year. A recent lunch meeting with a paramour of long standing showed a remarkable transformation to the back room dining areas. Quite well done and goes well with the polished wooden floors There's been a recent management change also and makee-learnee staff at the bar finding her first day 'difficult.' She'll get the hang of it soon. The food being served to others looked appetising and the beer was in good condition. A satisfactory visit. This is a well used commuters stop, right next to the bus station. The footfall here is quite heavy.
Great pub. Staff friendly. Very cosy.
