Three of us visited the White Hart on the way back from a very hot day in London. We sat on there outside eating area beside the river to eat. We all had the River Trout with Med veg which was excellent, I had mackerel to start, which, served with seasonal pickled veg was superb. We finished off with coffee cream brûlée which was equally delicious. We will be back. Great evening. Great staff.
Love this little spot sat right besides the Arun river with magnificent views of the water and bridge, when here today for lunch which was very good , myself and partner both had the fish and chips, it was delicious well portioned and well presented. For starter we shared a plate of olives and bread and again was amazing
This is the place to be on sunny days. We had a delicious lunch on the deck outside overlooking the river. It's quiet with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was a bit on the slow side, but ultimately that didn't bother us because it was just a very pleasant and relaxed experience with great food.
Found this lovely little place on our walk today. Ridden past, many a time on the bike, without realising it was there! Popped in for a bite to sustain ourselves and unfortunately they were inbetween services so no food except packet of crisps However beer was good, welcome was hospitable, so think we might be going back some time soon. Location is right next to an old medieval bridge; so beer, history and great beer garden, what more could you want
Popped in for lunch and the food was incredible. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Will be returning very soon.
Four of us went there after an emotional day at a funeral. We sat on the patio enjoying the magnificent scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful so much so that the chef Jamie actually went out of his way to do a wonderful vegetarian platter for my sister-in-law. The food was amazing I had the crispy mushroom and vegan feta burger I cannot praise this place enough and will definitely be there again.
A few adverse reviews but lots of good ones so booked a table for 8+a dog. Outside seating is perfect for this hot sunny weather. We chose not to have starters. Mains were well received the beef was fairly good quality beautifully cooked to exactly the rare news I requested. Potatoes were crisp and delicious the stuffing unusual but nice too. My cappuccino creme brulee was frankly superb! Staff are friendly, enthusiastic and mostly attentive. A couple of delays in service caused by high volume of appreciative customers. The setting is, in the great weather ideal as its pretty and surrounded by lovely trees. Clean basic toilets. Well worth the visit and had no issues identified by negative reviewers.
This pub/restaurant is seriously great. The front of house is warm and welcoming. The food is on another level. The menu changes throughout the year and the chef uses fresh seasonal ingredients to make the most lovely food. Top level cookery at a reasonable price from a chef who really knows what they are doing! This place is truly a hidden gem. Yes it has a lovely outside area with a nice view of the river which is great in the warmer weather. But the real star of the show is the food which is amazing throughout the year! I look forward to eating here many more times.
Beautifully located pub by the river and away from residential area in a perfect setting. A pub you could visit during the day and evening. Super friendly staff including the owners. Definitely going back for their mouth watering BBQ and their bespoke Goan curry cuisine.
Popped in for lunch today and it was fantastic. It's only my second visit but I love the place already. The put itself is stunning - paired with a lovely outside seating area with a stunning view and great staff, you really can't ask for anything else! Will definitely be coming back for more!!
